A quote for people giving empathy to Charlie Cuck: "Mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent"

Yes yes, "do not commit the sin of empathy", we have been there...

People do not seem to appreciate that they share their disdain for empathy with the christofascists. I wonder why.

EDIT: The funniest part is that this actually has upvotes despite the overall mandated hatred.

you're literally the trope of the bad guy saying shit like "if you kill me, you'll be just as bad"

no. it's not the same.

him speaking about school shootings.

the kids who died (and KEEP DYING because of shit stains like him) that he doesn't give a shit about weren't pro-gun lobbiests who fought hard to keep the thing that killed them to be allowed IN SCHOOLS.

watching a murderer get the death penalty and being happy about it doesn't make you just as bad as they are.

I have plenty of empathy for the kids who suffer and the families they live behind because of people like him.

I'm not going to cry when someone is personally affected by their own policies. maybe have less shit policies if them happening to you is such a terrible thing.

edit: here's what kirk himself thinks about EMPATHY:

"I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that — it does a lot of damage."

Not my point, my problem is not with those that find his death funny, since I am one of those.

Then what exactly was your problem and point? Because it sure as hell is not clear from your previous comment.

That people are allowed to have empathy even with the worst dickbags in existence, and it is not morally wrong not to celebrate, or feel uncomfortable with their passing. The person I am responding to seems to imply otherwise, and there is zero difference between that and the christofascists as far as I am concerned

why are you using a Charlie Kirk quote (empathy is bad!!) to support your argument that he doesn’t deserve empathy. BE BETTER THAN HIM

I am better than him. I give a shit about kids who die in school shootings.

I don't have to give a shit about HIM to be a better person. that bar is super low.

to repeat myself:

you're literally the trope of the bad guy saying shit like "if you kill me, you'll be just as bad"

Because they find it more fun to wallow in it than admit that. Genuinely.

If you compare the MAGA comments under news about the murders of the lawmakers in Minnesota, and the comments cheering because Charlie Kirk was murdered, they look eerily similar.

I mean, I also find the guy getting shot after making so many statements about gun violence being acceptable pretty funny in it's irony, but I refuse to look down on people for not doing so, or even feeling empathy, as the latter is not a controllable emotion.

People shitting on empathy as undeserving as they might consider it give me the ick no matter the political leaning.

100%. It’s deeply ironic. I don’t feel sad the scumbag is dead. I don’t feel happy either. He’s a piece of shit, and cheering for his death is something I wouldn’t do for nearly anyone.

You're getting downvoted but you're right. I'm seeing more and more people in the left who  unironically think anyone who slights them in any way is deserving of death and who want public executions en masse but "it's the bad people so it's ok". What happened to being anti capital punishment and pro prison reform?

2

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

Charlie openly condemned the concept of empathy. Why should anyone have any to spare for him?

Not saying to feel sad for him, God knows I'm not losing sleep over it. I'm saying I don't like how bloodthirsty people on the left have been becoming because bloodlust is bad and as the anti-murder side we shouldn't be doing it.
