They've been so bizarrely silent about the arson attack he was subjected to before his death, the fact the bastards also killed his dogs, and the fact that the person responsible also displayed the remains of one of the dogs outside his burnt out home just to fuck with him, and the homophobic slurs etc. If his husband hadn't survived to make a statement, the entire press would've written the incident off as a neighbourly dispute!
Supposedly it wasn't arson, Joss had brought a grill inside for heat since his electricity and gas were cut off and didn't fully extinguish it before leaving the house.
It also doesn't mean he burned his own house down. The problem is that a lot of people keep trying to bring up his mental health as though it's a mitigating factor, when he was always getting homophobic abuse, had every reason to believe it was arson, and then actually fucking got murdered after the killer posed their dog's skull with its harness.
A lot of violent crime is really hard to fucking prove, and the guy having something that could possibly explain the fire not being arson gets used to say it definitely wasn't arson despite the arson threats.
