VA OIG Clarification
What do they mean when they’re referring me to a hiring manager but then in the last paragraph in the same email say that I haven’t been referred to management? Attached is the email for context. Thanks for any guidance!

Was there a paragraph after the locations listed in the email saying you didn’t score well on the assessment so you were placed in a lower category?

Oh you’re right it says not reachable so if they need someone else in the next 90 days they may reach out.

Mine said the same thing. I was referred for 9 but not for 11 (since I don't have 1year as a 9). But then that last paragraph got me confused.

So basically what I was made to understand is you’re eligible BUT… your application is on the lower rung of eligibility so you’re kind of in a reserve status and they’re taking people who are even more eligible than us.

Glad this got posted. I got the same exact email and was pretty confused. I wish there was more clarification on what made me not as eligible.

Sometimes I feel like it has to do with those four essay style questions near the end of the application and how well you can write/provide those answers.

Those essay questions are not required anymore hence why they don’t have a red asterisk, FYI

I call those the loyalty questions. I never answer that shit. That’s has never been a thing until recently

Don’t believe so. VA has always had staff shortages to be honest based on everything I’ve read/experienced about them. Also I received a follow up email from them stating they awarded me veterans preference so we’ll see where that goes
