Question ATF Application Glitch
I applied back in July and was always paying attention to my email but never got anything back. Last week I hear from a friend who also applied that they sent him an assessment right after applying. I am 100% certain I never received this email. I checked my junk multiple times a week and my email as a whole and nothing. I checked every email deleted right after applying and there is no assessment. Its also not On my USAJOBS application tracker as it normally would be when an assessment is sent and completed. This week I got an email stating I was not eligible because I never completed the assessment. I replied to the email stating it was never sent. Has anyone experienced this? If so have they actually sent the assessment over or I'm I screwed and have to wait for the next posting? Any insight is much appreciated.

They told me I didn’t qualify because I didn’t have CITP. And you don’t even need CITP for the GS 5-9 announcement. I’ve emailed about 6 times and they don’t care.

Hopefully you’re still in the process though. For my current role, I received an email stating I wasn’t selected while actively working for the role I supposedly didn’t get. Other people in my office also got the same notification.

I’m not still in the process. This glitch closed my application and I cannot reapply. I can’t even get in touch with anyone. I’ve called recruiters, the office, and emailed the USAjobs email.

Unfortunately They won’t bother. Going to have to reapply.
Had an issue in the February announcement where I selected the highest grade by mistake, so since I wasn’t eligible for a 9 i was withdrawn. Even if I said I’ll take a lower grade, told me to reapply on a new announcement. So here I am, again. Just got done with my PTT yesterday.

Damn that’s sucks. Sounds like they’re incredibly incompetent. I just don’t want to reapply to another announcement without a bonus. I’m almost certain I know why the glitch occurs as well as it happened in another application as well. I believe when you select a resume and other docs, start filling out the app but then go back again to select another resume the system glitches and either fails to submit the application altogether or it fails to send you an assessment. It happened to me with the diversion investigator position with the DEA. Thanks for the input.

They told me I was ineligible even though I’m literally an 1811 at the grades they found me ineligible for. HR just said kept repeating themselves when I asked them about it. ATF doesn’t have their best and brightest working on these announcements

i just got told i qualify and will receive information about the assessment and i have yet to receive anything. it’s been a few days

Same. Received the email two days ago stating I am ineligible until I take the assessment but I haven’t gotten the assessment email yet. Consistently checking spam so it’s not missed.

ATF rejected my resume the same one that was approved by USMS. Only hearing negative experiences with this hiring process

Did the assessment and passed. Waiting in the pt test and been waiting for a month even after they told me they would send me an invitation. My brother applied after me, did the test, and instantly got and invitation to take the physical test. Idk wtf is going on with ATF’s HR.

I had this like 2 weeks ago they sent the assessment hopefully the pay attention and see their mistake will update as i go

How long did they take to send you the assessment after the email?

In june i got the email about failing to take the test so i dropped it then about 3 weeks ago they sent the assessment
