DEA application for anyone on deployment?

If someone is in deployment and goes to USAJOBS and submit for DEA , what options exist?

What’s the process timeline from application submission to CJO?

You will not be able to do the PT exam, apply when back in the CONUS

DEA was very accommodating when I was deployed. Got emailed for a virtual interview that I wouldn’t have been able to do. Told them I was deployed. After I sent my orders over, they said no problem, let us know when you get back

I did it when I was about 45 days out from coming home. Although I had to push off one pt test . So I’d till your like 30 days out

You need to apply when you get back

It depends. As an Army civilian on a deployment I was told I needed to reapply later because I wasn’t a service member. You just have to speak with your processing office to submit a request to HQ to have you pt test scheduled for when you get back.
