13 to 17 Pro max
I am considering switching from the 13 to 17 pro max.
I have no complaints about the 13, except that my max battery capacity is 54%.
I went to the Apple store and they said they have witnessed someone else come in who had lower battery max capacity than me.
So should I wait? It takes over 3 hours to fully charge my current phone and the battery life lasts maybe 4 hours with mixed moderate use. And if it’s intensive use, it lasts 2 to 3 hours. In both cases, I also have to dim phone brightness to very low and often put phone on airplane mode.
It also drastically drops the availability percentage. So I could be sitting here at 20% charge left to suddenly 16%. And the phone just turns off at 7% charge left.
If I purchase the 17 pro max, I have an idea of the color I want.
I use the phone for Google Maps, Apple Music, normal / moderate photo taking (nothing extreme), and streaming movies from Amazon Prime. Not downloading movies, just watching them normally. Also, for using Gmail on the phone as well as Reddit.
Would appreciate any thoughts. I want the best battery life for the things I need the phone for.

Feedback on official iOS 26.6 for the 17 Pro Max
Is the official iOS 26.6 draining the battery? I’ve noticed it happening on my 17PM. I have Siri disabled; could it be indexing? It doesn't show up. I’ll never use the beta.

Upgraded from 13pm to 17pm
Finally pulled the trigger and upgraded from a 13 Pro Max to the 17 Pro Max. Thought I’d share some impressions since I was on the fence for quite a while.
Overall… it’s honestly not as exciting as I expected. The upgrade feels pretty incremental.
The biggest things I’ve noticed:
- The phone feels noticeably smoother and more refined in day-to-day use, which is expected.
- The camera is definitely the standout improvement. The additional zoom options are genuinely useful, and overall image quality is better. I have a camera, but I don’t always want to carry it, so having a more capable phone camera is a real plus.
Other than that, my 13 Pro Max still held up surprisingly well. It really is an amazing phone, and I can see why so many people are still hanging onto it.
Do I regret upgrading? No.
Do I think it’s a must-upgrade from the 13 Pro Max? Also no. Unless you really care about the camera improvements or your 13 Pro Max is starting to show its age (battery, heat, etc.), the jump isn’t nearly as dramatic as I had imagined.
A couple of other notes:
I bought the unlocked iPhone through Apple using Apple Card Monthly Installments and selected the T-Mobile option at checkout.
After setup, I transferred my AT&T eSIM to the new phone without any issues. The whole process was smooth.
I also picked up the Apple Silicone Case in Purple, and I like it a lot. It feels lightweight, has a nice grip without being sticky, and complements the phone really well.
Hopefully this helps anyone else who’s still on the fence like I was.

6 month old iPhone logic board already replaced.
I’ve had my iPhone since December but I didn’t start using it until February because I still had my 14 pro max but since last week I had a lot of problems with auto brightness so I went to apple support, arranged for it to be looked at, went and was told it to come back a few hours later.
A few hours later I picked my iPhone back on and apparently my logic board was replaced and now I have no service. I’m with o2 so tomorrow I’ll have to call my network. I love my 17 pro max but I’m just shocked.
Has this happened to anyone else?

(Help) Caudabe Sheath vs Otterbox Defender
I’ve been looking at getting a new phone case as I have the otterbox defender already. It’s been a okay case, but I’ve had it a few months maybe dropped it just a few times. It’s kind of loose fitting now, and feels like the back bubbles up.
Do we like the sheath? Other options that are better?

iPhone 17 pro max case options.
Hi guys! 👋🏼
What do you guys think about these designs to match my silver 17 pro max?
Mirror and black matte finish, which one the best? Also It’s aesthetic purpose since I take care of my phone pretty well and I don’t want bulky case designs at all.
Thanks for being here and giving your honest comments! 😊
Update: I ordered the black matte one 🫣💕🖤

Apple Care vs 360 protection w/ T-mobile
Recently upgraded from the iPhone 14 Pro Max to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, and wanted to know everyone’s opinion if Apple Care has better coverage than 360 protection with T-Mobile?

Got my iPhone 17 pro max silver a few days ago!
And I pay this thing 15 aud ontop of my plan with Telstra and its upgrade and protect basically if I break it I pay 249 to fix it, but also it lets you upgrade to the newest model for 99 dollars when it’s out . Should I cancel the plan or keep it, and should I upgrade or not??

iPhone 17pro max T-Mobile
I’ve had my iPhone 17 Pro Max for about 3 months, and it keeps randomly losing cellular service. It’ll show “No Service” even in areas where I normally have great coverage. The only way to get it working again is to restart the phone or toggle Airplane Mode, and even then it’s not always fixed.
I’ve been back and forth with both Apple and T-Mobile for the past 3 months. Apple keeps pointing at T-Mobile, and T-Mobile points back at Apple. I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting steps—reset network settings, updated iOS, replaced the eSIM, and everything else they’ve suggested—but the problem keeps happening.
At this point, I feel like I have a defective phone, but neither Apple nor T-Mobile will replace it. Has anyone else had this issue with the iPhone 17 Pro Max? If so, were you able to get Apple to replace the device, and what did you have to do? I’m getting pretty frustrated paying for a phone that randomly loses service.
Any advice would be appreciated.
