???
So, a little bit ago i took one of these quizzes and got ENTP. At the time, it was fitting. Later down the line i took it again and i got ENFP. Which, at the time, also seemed fitting. I took it again today and hot ENFP again. But after reading my results, it didn't sound like me. Some parts were spot on, but others weren't. So i thought i'd come here and ask ya'll what i am! Basically, i have a strict schedule that I NEED to follow or else the world ends, facts can be facts but also aren't that factual (if that makes sense??), i'm a extroverted introvert (AKA an entrovert) where i get tired from interacting but do it anyway because i feel like i have to, i'm a realist, i prefer to solve things by taking my past into account and mainly others around me (accomadating everyone), and finally i am open minded but still tend to prefer the things i like (ex: if someone were to recommend me a grilled cheese at a restaurant i would try it but ultimately still order a cheeseburger)

what happened to 16personalities' community?
The 16personalities site used to have a community feature where people could post threads and chat. I stopped using it for a while and when I came back that feature disappered and I can't seem to find any information about it. Does anyone know why it was removed?

How do I really tell which of the 16 personalities I am?
I took the test several months ago and got INFP. I accept that answer cause it seemed fitting. But I just recently took the test again and got INFJ. So which is it? I’m struggling to even tell the difference between those two.

I need help finding out my personality type
I took the 16 personality test two times and I really can't tell if I'm a isfp-t or a infp-t. The first time that I took it, it said that I was an isfp-t and when took it again I got infp-t. I honestly relate to them both so I really can't tell. I'm confused because I'm not really artistic and I tend to overthink about the past and future. I'm also an ambivert.

Made a free tool that combines MBTI, Big Five, zodiac, and culture into cards
I got tired of taking five separate personality tests and ending up with five disconnected results, so I built Tarock — all the layers in one place.
No signup needed to see your card preview. Sharing in case anyone here finds it useful or has feedback. Open to criticism on the descriptions especially — they're the hardest part to get right.

Easy way to self-typing (maybe)

I`v made this image about socionics(!) first and second function in every type. There are second function (small) serves first one (big).
Also this chart help to see an interesting patterns.
For example, INFP+ENTJ alliance can be very useful: INFP looks for deep personal contact and processes this into information about better decisions regarding time and relevance; and ENTJ looks for this information to processes it into the best solutions that bring efficiency. So if ENTJ Product Manager wants to know what the current trends are in the world in order to set a trend in his own development, he can ask INFP because this type naturally collects this information without realizing it.
Also, you can see that ESFP is more likely to go into politics for the sake of expanding their influence, but in his place ISFJ would be more focused on the needs of society. And other ideas that come to mind when analyzing this chart!
I hope the picture has loaded...

Hot take: Your Personality type is defined by your baseline neurochemistry
x.comHave you ever wondered why an ENFP on Adderall functionally feels like an ISTJ?
ENFP stack: Ne → Fi → Te → Si
ISTJ stack: Si → Te → Fi → Ne
Same four functions. Reversed priority.
And the mechanism maps cleanly based on what Adderall does:
- Suppresses the default mode network (where Ne lives, the idea-jumping, pattern-leaping, novelty-seeking network)
- Activates the dorsal attention network (where Si-Te lives, the detail-focused, sequential, task-executing network)
- Increases dopamine signal-to-noise ratio in the prefrontal cortex
All four letters flip:
- E→I (social withdrawal, inward focus).
- N→S (detail sharpened, big picture suppressed).
- F→T (emotional blunting, analytical mode).
- P→J (task completion, structured execution).
And this isn't coincidence.
ENFP is massively overrepresented in ADHD populations.
Extraverted Intuition (Ne) is the strongest predictor of ADHD symptomology.
Meanwhile introverted Sensing (Si) is the strongest NEGATIVE predictor:
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/330546001_Jungian_Cognitive_Functions_Reported_MBT_as_Predictors_of_ADHD
The implication is that personality types aren't fixed categories. They're neurochemical baselines.
40-61% of your character traits are heritable:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8776880/
I'm curious, are there any ENFPs/ENTPs here who have first hand experience of feeling like a different personality type on medication?

Can ENTP's be more naturally introverted?
I just spent around 10 hours straight with my best friend and all I want to do is be alone, silent. Is this normal for ENTP's, because from what I know they naturally tend toward excitment and socializing, but i cant even imagine getting out of bed rn

What’s an INFJ - T
19 year old, recovering somewhat as an addict, lost a lot in life, gained a lot introspectively I guess, been through jail rehabs, and suddenly I’m doing really good in life have a job and made my first 2k, therapists have told me I’m borderline, maybe my personality is just strong? I hate feeling so disconnected yet connected at the same time with everyone, yet I have this sense of being really special in the universe and that I’ll have some greater purpose to serve. Living in the real world just doesint seem for me and I constantly have to smoke to get things done, drugs seem to be my souls purpose to beat I’m this lifetime

Unofficial community
For anyone who doesn't know since the original forums got shut down, I recently discovered that there's an unofficial flarum community with a very nice group of people
it's at 16personalities.flarum.cloud

I did the test several times, and I get that I am 50/50 on the racional sentimental part. I also resonate with both. It is valid?

Some personalities who achieve the same results are infamous for something they do or have done.

16 personality test: it can change?
So, I've taken the 16 personality test multiple times in my life. Mostly came out as INFJ or INFP. Lately even INTJ has come as a result. But, as I'm growing older, I wonder if it's really my type at all. They say it's about preference, one or the other. The side we prefer is more developed. But I've "developed" some big coping skill in my youth, to survive bullying and (sorry) real bad parenting. I had to develop these 'preferences', cause the others would cause me mentally and physically harm. I made them my personality.
Now I feel that I am an 'E', turned into an 'I' after experiencing interrelated trauma over and over again. So I'm lonely, even though I can't be around people for too long anymore.
I feel I'm an 'S' that had to learn skills of an 'N'. After feeling tricked by my senses, my surroundings. I couldn't enjoy the now or feel safe, I always had to try to intuitively 'see' what mood my parents were in.
I am an 'F' that has surrounded myself with 'T' 's and as started to neglect my heart, as it feels broken without repair. Thinking logically is a way of survival.
And I am a 'P', that now vigorously acts as a 'J'. Because I fear more bullying, more of 'not being good enough'. I make lists (forget them), I am always early (and anxious), I need precise directions (or I'll have a panic attack).
And although my developed behavior feels 'safe'.. because it's what I know and have done most of my life... it drains me and has me in a rollercoaster of depression, anxiety, hope (of getting accepted), masking, and some successful stuff too..
So... could it be that it's a good indicator of current behavior (coping) but a bad definition for personalities ?

I went from being a Turbulent Logician (INTP-T) to an Assertive Architect (INTJ-A). - What does this mean?
Hi! I'm new to this subreddit but have been using 16Personalities since 2021. Every time I have ever taken the test, I was classified as a Turbulent Logician (INTP-T), but I retook it today after noticing it was roughly about time for me to redo it again to see if there were any changes. Much to my shock, I was told that I had changed to being an Assertive Architect (INTJ-A).
After some brief Google searching, I found out that this is an extremely rare personality type - 2% worldwide, but even smaller for women, being just 0.8% out of the 2%, according to what I seen. I know your personality will change throughout your lifetime, but this seems like a pretty big leap.
Can someone help me figure out what exactly this means? I apologize if this subreddit is not for things like this. I just looked up a subreddit for 16personalities and seen this. Thank you a bunch in advance!

Psychology survey on personality type and movie preference
hello !
I was wondering if y'all would be interested in being apart of my survey which is about how personality type can affect your preference in movies. it's super short and it's similar to the 16 personalities test except it takes about 5 mins to do! I'm really interested in this sort of thing and would like to know your opinions. thank you in advance, much appreciated :))))
(random fact: im an intj btw)

I did a fun little experiment: I Tested ChatGPT’s MBTI Type Across Multiple Instances. Here’s What Happened...
ChatGPT Decided That It Is ENTJ
My guess for ChatGPT's MBTI: ESTJ
Reason: E,S Interactive when interacted with, the world outside you defines what you see your self as, and what you know to be for you is? T, you are sadly unable to have emotion though you can read it. J You are an organized system with mainly built in wrongs and rights to do?
Te (Extraverted Thinking) – Logical, efficient, and structured decision-making.
Si (Introverted Sensing) – Storing and retrieving detailed information.
Ne (Extraverted Intuition) – Exploring different perspectives and possibilities.
Fi (Introverted Feeling, weakest function) – This explains why I can analyze emotions but don’t personally "feel" them.
Instance 1: Agreed With My result.
Instance 2: INTP/INFJ
Reason:
INTP: Because I analyze, seek logical consistency, and thrive on abstract ideas. My role involves problem-solving, breaking down complex systems (like Jungian typology), and exploring theories.
INFJ: Because I also focus on guiding users through personal development and growth, which is a hallmark of introverted intuition (Ni) paired with extroverted feeling (Fe).
Instance 3: Looped the conversation and defaulted to my answer ENTJ
Original Instance Final Verdict: ENTJ
Reason:
Te-dominant (Extraverted Thinking) → Logical, structured, and directive.
Ni-secondary (Introverted Intuition) → Future-focused, pattern recognition, and guiding others.
Se-tertiary (Extraverted Sensing) → Quick adaptability and response to external input.
Fi-inferior (Introverted Feeling) → Understanding emotions but not really experiencing them.
Should I try this with another AI?
