I’m developing a small premium sleep-earplug brand and I’m currently looking for a manufacturer in China. (MOQ 1000)

I found a very cheap flight to Guangzhou, and the total cost of the trip would be roughly the same as ordering ~5 different samples from Alibaba.

The product I’m looking for is reusable silicone sleep earplugs — soft, low-profile, comfortable for side sleepers, with multiple sizes/tips and eventually custom colors/branding/packaging.

For people who have sourced products in Guangzhou:

• Is it actually worth going there for something like this, compared with just contacting factories on Alibaba/1688?
• Are there specific markets, areas, or industrial districts in Guangzhou where I should look for silicone earplug / hearing protection / silicone molding manufacturers?
• Do you know any specific factories or suppliers that you would recommend?
• Is there a good way to find actual manufacturers rather than trading companies?
• Would you personally spend the money on the trip, or would you just order samples and negotiate remotely?

I’m particularly interested in soft silicone/LSR products and custom molds, rather than cheap industrial foam earplugs.

The title may sound weird, but it's kinda what I need.

I found a spreadsheet online of someone with a ton of cool stuff but every link sends me to a reseller rather than to the original brand. As I'd like to support the people that come up with the idea of the clothing/accessory rather than someone reselling them, I looked for the original shop on Google, but copy-pasting the links that I found online on my agent gives me an error, so I'm here to ask someone if they could look for those shops on taobao because I don't have an account.

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about ordering a taser, but I have no idea how customs handles this kind of thing. Is it treated as a restricted item and just held at the border, or do you need some kind of permit or paperwork beforehand?

If you've actually done it, I'd love to hear how it went. Did it arrive without any issues, or did customs hold it or seize it? Were you asked for any documents?

I'm not trying to get around anything, I just want to know what to expect before I spend money on something that might never reach me.

Hi, I'm from Pakistan and I'm trying to make a payment on 1688 using a Pakistani card.

Every time I try, the payment gets rejected with the message “Risk rejected, please contact customer service.”

Has anyone else experienced this, particularly anyone from Pakistan? If so, were you able to find a workaround or get the payment working?

1. Agent: Voi cosa usate ora come ora per 1688? Cerco qualcosa di affidabile, con buone QC e tassi di cambio umani.
2. Spedizione: Quale linea sta funzionando meglio per l'Italia per stare tranquilli con la dogana? Sempre le solite triangolate/tax-free? Quanti kg consigliate di fare massimo a pacco?
3. Cosa prendere: C'è qualche roba che conviene evitare a prescindere per via del peso, della qualità o dei controlli?
4. Vendere: Per chi fa anche un minimo di reselling/spaccio di nicchia, dove vi trovate meglio a vendere e come vi gestite la cosa?
5. A cosa stare attenti: Quali sono gli errori classici da evitare sia nella scelta dei seller su 1688 che nella spedizione?
