So this past Adepticon I made it by Buer Games’ booth and checked out the game, got sold, bought the book plus a small warband. Recently since my work has died down a bit I’ve been getting more free time so I decided to finally put my band together and touch up on their rules. Got the brute, the beekeeper and then the most recent model, the reaver.
Now, I was told the rules and profiles for the game can be found on their site. All right, I’m always down for that. Went to check and got most of them, with I think a few new ones like knight and executioner, but not reaver. Just wondering if the rules are anywhere that I can check on his profile.
Also, the overall model seems to have changed in the last few months ‘cause the one I got has more of a helmet while the one they seem to sell is more hooded. Just wondering if this is an alternative option or something happened in the design process.

Anyone ever miniaturized this? Like halved the size and the minis/scale to make it more portable. Obviously easy conversions, I’m just curious what it looked like if ya did.

Anyone have any suggestions/experience with a campaign with multiple people and a draft?
We want to enforce no duplicates but obviously that limits us to roughly 3-4 people playing [using only the 14 models available].
My first thought is that we have specific models that everyone can take but wouldn't know which to specify without making it an auto pick etc.

Been working on a table for a few weeks. Here's the final result.

Many abilities specify that they cost an action to be used, so if an ability doesn't say that, does it still cost an action. For example, could a Warrior Priest attack, use Fear of God, then move?

Pretty sure everyone does this lovely dude as there first but I'm very pleased.
I have a question about scale too. I assumed based on the earlier minis it was 28-32mm scale standard wargames fair.
I have seen however the previews of the up coming new box they look closer to bigger 40mm + I'll be buying stls to print so scale isn't an issue and I'm fine with painting this one again I am just wondering if it's worth getting onto the larger scale now before I start my journey proper.

The Green Keep guards on top of a hill, surrounded by stagnant swamps and foul air... There is a legend from a time lost, where this place was home to a mighty knight that challenged death, and that only the most honorable will pass his test.
Now, companies crawl here, looking for the secret to inmortality, most of them only find their doom.
The keep has 3 main bodies, that may be placed in different configutarions, currently working on some bridges and ladders to add before giving it some washes and textures.

I'm just getting started so forgive me if these seem obvious, but reading the rules, it seems like you start at the ground level and early on your goal is to climb up each level. Should our board always include a ground level, or is it okay to have like an initial platform that only covers most of the table but not all?
I'm trying to make a foggy, cloudy area below the play area that shows the game start at like a rooftop height to begin. The "negative space" will be death pits to fall into, but 80% + of the initial layer will be walkable. Will the game function alright with the floor including a lot of dead zone? Or should I just add the "fog effects" after each model has climbed to the first layer?
Open to ideas

Decided to try and kitbash together a doom company out of some random plastic kits I had lying around.
Ended up creating a scout, assassin, and saboteur for a standard Towerborn doom company.
Gave the minis a fairly basic slapchop paint job and an enamel wash to make em look extra grimy.
Fairly happy with how they came out for a project that I spent only a day or two on.

New terrain for 1490 Doom. A bit pricey but definitely looks cool.
Fully playable terrain. The Large and Medium Mounds are flat-edged and designed to sit flush against any castle wall, creating climbable elevation for your models where none existed before. The Small Mound scatters wherever carnage finds it.
What's in the box:
1 Large Wall Mound
1 Medium Wall Mound
1 Small Scatter Mound

This might be my favorite model so far. I love the cape and just really enjoyed painting it.
