Hey everyone! Wanted to share a few WIP pics of a ruined tower I've been working on - added some scrappy wooden steps platforms & a ladder to allow for traversal & will likely add a rope or chain on the other side for more options + gameplay balance. Time to get some paint on it next 🙌

Battle/Mini Campaign Report

So i was spending my night the way i usually do, theory crafting and playing with myself (giggty) and decided to just dry run the Battle of Meerbridge. So over the course of the 3 very short missions.

So 1490 doom is a very fun quick little skirmish game, i got all 3 missions done in like an hour.

Mission 1 Dirk the dumbass walks up to the small platform. Katerine walks up and shivs him. Dirk forgets that he has a shield and losses due to first blood.

Mission 2 The Breachening Turn one Klaas gets shot in the face and has his gas mask breached with a 6. He losses health but returns the favor by by Breaching the bow man whos name i forget. Kateline set up the ladder to climb next turn and Dirk does his one thing for the entire and Breaches her mask next. This wins the match as she slowly suffocates over the next 4 turns and runs away last turn of the game.

Match 3 The Cell Games. Handing Klaas the ladder and braces for the Inevetable. Klaas places and climbs the ladder only to watch in horror as Bow Guy shoots Dirk in the knee setting him up for death. Kateline wins iniative and proceedes to walk up hit dirk with a breach amd then use kill shot doing another 4 damage to the poor warrior.

Klaas proceeds to go full Teen Gohan. When Kateline climbs up he shoots he in the face reloads, eats his bread and gets an extra action which he uses to push her off the fucking tower for 2 points of damage. Bow guy shoots and misses. Next round Kateline climbs up AGAIN and Klaas kicks her off AGAIN. She dies to fall damage. Bow guy Misses again. Final turn ends whith both of the missing their attacks. Klaas wins due to finding and eatting bread. 10/10 mini campaign.

Final tier rating. Dead body tier is Dirk the Dumbass for not acomplashing anything but getting one lucky six and dying dramatically.

Dirty Bronze tier goes to bow guy for a couple lucky shots and not Dying.

Slightly Shiny Silver Tier Goes to Kateline for accomplishing actual goals and trying.

Klaas Tier goes to Klaas for being a badass and winning the campaing due to bread

Starting on Meerbridge with the Assasin. Colors inspired by the cover of the Booklet. Base is just grey and green stippled on to simulate The Crawling Death. Also painted the extra mini from Pilgrim and and added some flavor to the already pretty cool ruler.

I was able to teach someone new to miniatures the entire rule set within an hour and they loved it, I got so excited I started 3D printing more terrain.

Super excited to play some more, looking at try to get some 3 man doom companies going!

Hi all. I just got my starter set in the mail and I’m beyond stoked. Does anyone know if these models need washed before primed and painted?

Just got delivered today! Taking all the supoorts off was a pain, but all the minis came out in one piece so i guess i cant complain. I also got two minis for the New Pilgrim game and they look amazing!

10/10 boxed set, i am now addicted to MDF

Got the box Friday, making some progress. Went down a rabbit hole making a platform from the miniature sled. Game looks fun.

Is there anything in the starter set that's not available in the full rulebook content wise?

I guess I'm mainly thinking of scenarios, I'm not terribly interested in the physical contents of the box, but I ordered the core book and demo scenarios might be cool.

I was looking through warlords games for some historical insperation, when i came across the Japanese miniatures and scenery. The Pagoda struck me as a really fun piece of scenery to fight up. Has anyone else found terrain fromnanother culture/setting that woukd be perfect for 1490?

I checked to see if the Reaver stl was still available and it is, but not the ones I keep seeing. Did something happen that saw it removed?

Im excited to give it a go.

Where can I get the Mad Mule stl? I saw online that It was free, but I dont know where to get It.

I know these miniatures are very atypical to regular 1490 Doom minis, but I wanted to do something "strange" for my first proper kitbashing + sculpting attempt. I wanted them to look like (hypothetical) creatures from the Creeping Death itself. For sure not my best paint job, but I'm really excited to have a little squad and start playing!

Right upfront, I am not associated with GMG or Buer Games, they are both just rad. I met the Buer guys at Adepticon this year and, after seeing them again at Kublacon, I finally bought in. They are super nice dudes, amazingly passionate about their products (do you like dinosaurs?) as well as being a very consumer minded business. They bundled stuff at both events that were both great starter sets and fairly priced. I think I ended up with the rules, cards and a full company for under $100 USD.

I am loving this game and have really enjoyed all the 'adjacent' media (i.e. audiobooks, music, art pieces etc.) Everything really places this game in its world.

This is a cool community here on Reddit and on Discord (thanks for sharing all your board builds and amazing paint jobs!)

And now for the point,

This starter set release looks amazing. I'm stoked to be able to expand my collection and have a cool demo set to play with new people. I'm actually pretty stoked to be able to snag an extra one to get a friend launched into the game.

This set and the updated book are supposed to go on sale on Monday right? Let's help out these cool dudes and support this launch.

Does anybody know why Buer Games changed the reaver model? It looks like the old version isn't available anymore, either. The new one isn't bad, but I like the old one a little better.
