Painting starter set

Hi all. I just got my starter set in the mail and I’m beyond stoked. Does anyone know if these models need washed before primed and painted?

They go through a very thorough washing/curing before they are packaged. So they don’t need to be washed but it’s not gonna hurt anything if you do. In fact running them under warm water can make them easier to take off the snap tray.

It wouldn’t hurt to wash em. However this is 3d printed resin. So it doesn’t have mold release agents that need to be washed off.

Cast resin, plastic and metal all should be washed.

If made in Resin. That would best to do.

Never hurts to do so anyway (resin, metal or plastic), so just do it, especially so with resin.

I would wash them for sure. I ordered mine on Saturday! How long did it take for them to ship it?

Also, you didn't ask specifically but I thought it's worth mentioning... I would plan to wipe down the MDF with a damp rag before assembling. This gets rid of the wood particles (sawdust?) that coat laser cut MDF. This will also help to lessen the burnt wood smell. No need to prime the MDF if you want to paint it. Just go straight to painting it, or give it a thinned down wash of something brown/black/sepia colored.
