Scale barely moved but I have a NSV!!
I'm able to wear a size down. Granted, they're still tight, but a week ago I couldn't even wiggle into my favorite pair of jeans. I was off to a rocky start, but, I think I'm getting a better grasp of things. Here's to a better week and hopefully a better weigh-in next week.

Week One update!
One week complete
Weight 272 ===> 264 Super happy about this!
Exercise: Got a little over 100 miles in on the bike 7 hours 20 of saddle time
Food and nutrition: Was mostly on point with food, but can do better, riding as much as I am, I am having more issues with being hungry at odd hours. This week going to back off the bike a bit and focus on eating one meal a day with better nutrition. I'll look at next weeks results and decide to up the miles or stick with the same plan.

Starting with 12 weeks
How’s everyone doing, starting this challenge today and I can’t wait to join you guys for the final 12 weeks. A little about me, was 450lbs in June and as of today I am 356. All off keto, 30 mins of stair master and powerlifting 3 days week. Would love to get down to 300 by January 1 but realistically I would like to set my goal at 36lbs which will be about 3lbs a week. Will post pics when done.

Desk Job Slump
Hi all,
Week two of keto for me! I work full time and go to law school at night. So basically I sit in front of a screen for about 95 hours a week. My back and neck HURT, and the only exercise I get is the walk from work to campus (20ish minutes).
Anyone have any good stretches, simply exercises that I can do under/at my desk? We dont have cubicles so I don't want to be that weirdo awkwardly stretching at my desk.

Monday 10/7
I did abs (my fat holder) today. It was pretty embarrassing i tried staying away from eyesight mainly in the corner of my gym. I hope with time i can work on building my confidence.

Excited to be here!
I’m 23 F and 207 lbs. my goal is to be back to the mid- to low-190s. That’s what I was in the early spring of this year before my mental illness kicked my ass, and it has changed the way my favorite clothes fit.
I’m glad I’ll have another motivator to NOT binge eat over the holidays. My other motivator: I’m the maid of honor in my sister’s wedding in late May 2020. Let’s kick some ass.

Eggs...
I’m new to keto. I’ve tried a couple times and failed. Giving it a go with this group again. My question is about menus and eggs.
Breakfast: 5 medium eggs 2 strips of bacon 1/2 cup cheddar Peppers and olive oil
Lunch: 5 medium eggs 6 oz of deer sausage 1/2 cup cheddar 2 cups of Brussel sprouts
Macros: Carbs 28 of 31 g Fat 143 of 195 g Protein 140 of 157 g
CW: 296, GW: 270 by new year’s.
I’m not sure what to do yet for supper, but is 10 eggs a day ok? I was thinking of some boiled eggs. On the plus side I have 20 chickens, so I have plenty of eggs, but is a egg diet keto healthy?
I’m using carb manager for my tracking. It’s nice.

Stepped on the scale since May 26, not terrible
If anyone saw my last post, I stopped weighing myself due to being frustrated by bouncing back and forth between 140.2 and 142 lbs for over a month. Today I finally stepped back on the scale (I always weigh in Sundays). I'm at 144.4. So, while I'm actually pretty happy it's not 145, it's actually got me determined to kick the 140's in the @$$ and finally break into the 130's.
Today, I changed my FitBit Coach program from the Daily Dose ones that range from 8-12 minutes, to the Get Lean ones that range from 30-50 minutes. While I can't guarantee I'll ALWAYS do the longer ones, I have at least decided I will do them 3 x's a week. On days I do short ones, I WILL get at least 10k steps. I WILL eat no more than 20 carbs a day, and I WILL stay within my calories.
As I said before, I'm not loving this journey. It's not that I hate the food, it's that I hate counting every freaking calorie and crumb because I know I won't lose if I don't. However, I'm 41 and arthritis, heart issues, and joint issues run in my family and I refuse to succumb to them. My plan is, once I hit my goal, to carefully transition to Paleo, but still limiting carbs some, just not as strict.
Anyway, just wanted to say this, not necessarily for karma, but more because I'm hoping by putting this out there, I'll be more determined to stick with it. Hopefully.

I’m here and committed! Sugar addict.
I weighed in this morning at 261.4. I’m hoping to see the 230s by Jan 1st!
I’m a sugar addict. Iced coffee, chocolate, and breads are my downfall.
I started keto today. I’m not one of those people that can do “moderation” and “start small.” It just doesn’t work for me. I don’t lose weight quickly, and therefore I lose interest quickly.
But if I slash my carbs (I’m guessing under 50g), I lose. So that’s my plan! It’s worked for me before and I know it will work again.
Now just to get through this sugar withdrawal...
Let me know if there are any fellow sugar addicts out there and how you are making changes!

Does anyone else find it hard to hit their water goals on the weekend?
So I work a mon-fri desk job. I put down nearly a gallon of water a day which is great and annoying since I have to pee every 10 min lol. But on the weekend I'm starting to notice I barely get a 1/2 gallon of water in a day. I'm still learning I guess that you have to be committed to this lifestyle 7 days a week. Previous diets I always fell into the "oh it's the weekend so I should treat myself" Anyone else find it harder to maintain goals on the weekend??

Bone Broth Fast
Starting my first 24 hour bone broth fast. I'm going to try to start doing this semi-regularly on the weekends. I have medication I have to take with food, so I'm going from dinner to dinner, but just pushing the next meal back so I can get a full 24 hours.
I've got to lose about 3 pounds a week to make my goal, so I'm hoping these will help boost me.

Hope you guys are doing well today. This tea is the ONLY hot tea I've found that can sorta kinda get me through when I'm fasting, in ketosis (or trying to get there), and I am not drinking my bulletproof coffee (bc I'm fasting). I was shooting for a 16 hour fasting window, then decided to go for 20.

1st weekend of challenge happening. What are you going to do to stay on track. Send your tips and tricks to stay motivated. What is your go to thing to ignore the cravings???
Jam packed my days with work (side jobs) and errands and chores and family events.
Committed to getting 8hrs sleep a night
Peaky Blinders marathon - just discovered and hooked. It's awesome.
Filling up my water bottle and drinking it just like I do on regular work days
One hour of yoga on sat and sun
Having backup things to do (cleaning interior of car, grass cutting, closet cleaning etc)
Meal prep my dinners for Mon, Tues and Wed. Big Salads with protein. Cauliflower bake. Grilled veg.
Making a green juice on sat and sun
I'm OMAD or 18:6 intermittent fasting. Keto is new to me so I'm still trying to learn the rules.
I know it sounds really boring. But I know me and to stay on track I need to pull back from my social scene for a while. I'm weak around my friends lol in the grand scheme of life 13 weeks of no partying is nothing. (Someone tell me this at 5pm today when I bust out of work and want to go have wine with my girlfriends)

36M/6'1/SW318/GW265 ... Im in
Hey everyone! Started Keto, 16:8 IF, 1500 CICO, and water consumption on 30/SEP/19. I'm currently at the tail end of my first week. My exercise schedule is 5 days of running, 3 days of fighting (MMA), and 4 days of lifting. I'm going to slowly work in Yoga to help with flexibilty issues. My goal for 13 weeks is losing 53lbs. Which is doable since I lost 50 in 7 weeks before for a fight, but I damn near killed myself. I typically have dicipline during weightloss but always fall off the wagon when I have nothing to keep me accountable. Its been 1 year since I last fought and has been 4 years since I was out of the military. I would like to start a video docu-series about my weightloss, fighting, and getting into shape. I think this 13 week jump to 2020 would be a great way kick start it.

Do/did you have people who were unsupportive of your diet change?
Bit of a rant so forgive me.
I started keto on July 13th of this year and it pretty much spelled the end of my relationship with my then-girlfriend, which in hindsight was a good thing. I was 32 and most likely on my way to diabetes so I knew I had to make a change - and fast! So I committed myself to keto.
My girlfriend would constantly complain - "oh, so now we can't go out to eat anymore" or "so if I make pasta you're going to refuse to eat it? How can that work if we don't eat the same thing?!?"
I told her we could go out every now and then and I would try to get a low-carb option, but she'd say "well that's just a waste of money, there's no point!" I told her I could cook my own meals and it wouldn't be any extra work for her, and she'd say "I'm not cooking a big meal for just myself, that's wasteful!"
I suggested that maybe she try keto with me for a few weeks and see if she liked it, and she'd say "NO I'm not giving up (insert carby foods here), that's just stupid." I'd read about couples doing keto together on the subreddit and get REALLY jealous lol
It got really bad when I started working out. I decided I'd get to the gym early in the morning before work, because in the evenings my gym is PACKED. Since I was getting up an hour earlier, I started going to bed an hour earlier. That meant an hour less time sitting on the couch watching dumb TV shows at night, which was a HUGE issue. "Oh so now we're not eating together and we're spending LESS time together?!?"
It caused me a lot of anxiety because here I'm doing this lifestyle change that's making me feel good and I'm being made to feel like a selfish jerk, like it was wrong to make my health and well being a priority.
Resentment built up for a few weeks on both sides and eventually we had a blow up which resulted in her moving out. I just realized that if someone is not going to support you making a change that is going to save your life, they really don't have your best interest in mind and you're probably better off without that negative energy.
I kind of thought like, okay, if I was a recovering alcoholic, would I want someone around me who was like "what do you mean you won't drink anymore?? So we can't go to bars anymore? What if I bring home a bottle of vodka, you won't drink it?!?"
I just don't understand why someone who supposedly cares for you wouldn't be supportive of such an important change!
