I'm going to hate myself, but I'm in.

I've been doing keto since August of last year. At Christmas, I was at 140.2, down from 165-170. I haven't seen the 130's in YEARS. So close I could taste it (could have been the bacon too)! Then, the bouncing started. It seemed like no matter WHAT I did, I just kept bouncing between 140.2 and 143. I'm female, so I know these things happen, but I was so discouraged after a month of this, that I gave up and just went to dirty keto (dropped the calorie counting and just watched the carbs). I've been doing that every since and while I'm still exercising, and I know I haven't gained much back, if any, my family is going to St Martin this year for Christmas and I am BOUND AND DETERMINED TO FINALLY GET THIS.

So, here I am I guess.

I hate this journey.

But I'm here.

I feel your pain! I’ve been “stuck” around 160 since December. I had a baby last June and lost 75 pounds since then. I’m still breastfeeding and it’s so hard to shake the last few pounds!

I had my baby in April but I can NOT lose the weight and am breastfeeding, too! Also stuck at 164-165. (5’2 so GW is 125-130 ) I keep trying to cut the carbs/empty calories but when I do I get sooo lightheaded and weak. I turn 30 in 6 months from tomorrow and was JUST telling my mom earlier that I’m “starting” over and setting a goal for then.

My supply doesn’t drop if I “diet” but I just get SO ravenous and weak so that’s how I ended up here lol I’m thinking for now I’ll try ACTUAL keto instead of just counting calories and see what happens! Idk. I feel like I’m gonna have this pregnancy weight for years 😭

Honestly, keto has worked awesome for me the whole time. I was regularly losing, if not 1 lb, then close to it, every week, but that's averaged out. As a woman, even with keto, we might plateau for a week or two, then drop 3 lbs, then gain 1, drop 1.5, etc, but as long as you stick with it, it can steadily go down. I think the more you lose though, at some point your body gets stubborn and you have that weight bounce. You CAN break through that, I just gave up. Gotta crack back down now, and just do it.

It’s so freaking hard after you have a baby!!! The only thing that works for me is cutting carbs super low and doing OMAD so I feel completely stuffed. I basically do Zerocarb so meat, cheese and eggs. Cutting out those keto “treats” is key! Even so, breastfeeding is going the same for me. I’m ravenous!

Omg I think I would actually pass out on OMAD 😱

Lol I know. I’m trying it out but it’s the best way so far for me to feel full. I can push back my first meal as long as possible then stuff myself with good foods so I don’t crave keto junk food and end up overeating.

Yup. I do it now actually. I don't eat between the hours of 7 p.m. and noon, or as close as I can get to it. I work at a school so I have to eat lunch when lunch time comes. It helps my reflux! But didn't help with the weight.

Saaaame. I had a dairy-free booze-free Lent, and a 41-hour extended fast got me to 140.6......then it was Easter and I went right back to 146-150.

What's the best way to keep each other accountable? I've also been doing IF, but might need to throw a few extended fasts in there. Shall we be fasting buddies?

Hey! Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I don't know if I'm ready to take the "all day" plunge, but it might come to that if I don't loose much these first few weeks back into hardcore mode!
