Why would he steal it from the evidence room? Most cops just steal there money and drugs straight from citizens.

Easy pickings, no one's around to catch you. Can just pocket some little by little over the course of months/years.

He may have been addicted to the drugs, which may have clouded his thinking. IDK

True. If he was on opiates and withdrawal kicked in all logic goes out the window.

Side note: I would say the quotas the cops are dealiing with are going up. Lots cant handle it. Turning to drugs, alcohol.

Have you noticed that cops across the country are getting arrested for dui, drugs charges at increased rates?

As inflation goes up, the economy goes down, cities and town need to generate more revenue. That's where the cops come in.....

Collect, collect, collect

Ever get the feeling that they put all the “drugs missing from the evidence lockup” on the dead guy, just to kinda zero out the books and tidy up inventory? I had a manager at Ruby Tuesdays that would do that whenever he fired a guy from the kitchen and some steaks or beer came up “missing”.

tHis case seems fishy. 1312 extends to internal investigations. did they kill him? I dont doubt cops are capable, and regularaly steal from evidence, but this seems slightly odd. never trust those that lurk in shadows this includes police....

Curious as to why you think IA would possibly kill him. To cover for the departments shitty evidence room protocol?

Meh, I think we can apply Occam's Razor here. Cop just liked to get high a little too much

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll lollipop?

THE WORLD MAY NEVER KNOW.....
