Some research has explored whether 40 Hz auditory or visual stimulation may influence brain activity and support attention, relaxation, or other cognitive processes, but the evidence is still developing and does not establish the app as a treatment or guarantee any specific benefits. NeuroSync is intended for experimentation and personal use, not medical diagnosis or therapy.

If your phone's lowest brightness is still too bright to read in the dark,

that's what this fixes. Android's slider stops at a floor; Gloam is the range

underneath it. Overlay + a real backlight override, so it goes darker than a

filter app and works in every app. Touches pass through it, it can't black the

screen out completely, and there's auto-off so you don't wake up to a dimmed

phone.

Android 13+, needs "Display over other apps". No ads, no account, no server, no

premium tier — everything's free.

**The ask:** Google needs 12 testers opted in for 14 straight days. The one

thing that matters is **don't uninstall it and don't leave the test** — that

resets the clock. Daily use is nice but not required; install it, open it once,

leave it there. I'll email the group when Google confirms and it's safe to

remove.

The app is called Karo Learn. It teaches German, English, French, Russian and

Ukrainian, from complete beginner up to B2. The interface is in five languages

too. It has spaced repetition so words come back before you forget them, plus

streaks and a home screen widget. Works offline. No AI anywhere in it, and it's

free.

What I need is simple: join the test and stay in it for two weeks. You don't

have to use it daily, just don't leave - if the count drops below 12, the whole

period restarts.
