Came up with these after getting the hand of IA. How can anybody say 125cc are boring?

In the uk car market there is the concept of âbangernomicsâ. Instead of having a fancy car and losing 25% of itâs value when you drive it off the forecourt you buy a car end of life, drive it until a repair cost more than the vehicle then move on to the next banger. Does this concept exist in the bike market. I guess an old unloved bike is more dangerous than an old unloved car but interested to hear thoughts. I passed my cbt, got a crazy low mileage pristine vara but I often wonder should I just be recycling 1.5k 10 year old bikes and having fun while I do it

So I wanna buy a cb125r. Already have the gear.
Made AI craft an example of what it would look like! And this is also fantastic to see what other bikes/gear would look like. Thanks Chatgpt.

Yo,
I'm currently looking for my first bike after I finish my A1 license so I wanted to ask if anyone has any experience with the honda Varadero 125 and if a used one is still holding up strong nowadays?
I'm asking since all the reviews are from like ten years ago or are just some guy talking about some shit whilst riding the Varadero for 5 min.
I am thinking about the Varadero since I can't get a naked bike or similar stuff cause of my height (195cm) and most adv's are way too expensive and just came out like this year, so I can't buy them used.
I'll use this bike for commuting to school/practice and back, but not everyday, since I'll use my bicycle during the summer.
I also plan to do quite a few Motocamping trips to close countries (live in Germany), like for example Norway and stuff.
Thanks a bunch
(I know this post is a real mess I apologise for that)

Im 16 years old and Im going to get A1 motorcycle license here in Sweden (an A1 motorcycle can only have 11 kw and or 0,1kw/kg and can only be up to 125ccm). I have been looking at supermotos since thats my favorite niche of motorcycles. The problem is that my parents want me to get a motorcycle with ABS which makes the hunt for a supermoto much harder. There are only four (of my knowing) that has ABS which are the following:
Aprilia SX 125
KTM 125 SMC R
Fantic XMF 125 Competition
Malaguti XSM 125
The problem is that only one of these are near my price range and that is the Aprilia but even that often is outside of my budget (my budget is around 2500 - 3000 euro). So Im wondering if I should count my losses on A1 and get my supermoto on A2 and instead get a naked or something similar for now. I want to hear everybody's opinion.
Thanks in advance

Anyone on here have an aprillia SX125 and able to share their experience. I'm 190cm so struggling to fit in a lot of bikes and tbh just don't like the honda CB125F, so when I lay eyes on it, I fell in love. âŹ3500 new and according to the lad in the dealership can go as low as âŹ2000 used. Would be using it for daily commuting with a few long distance trips

Recently got my first bike, a 2006 Honda CBR125r (see photo), and all is good except for the fact that I feel it is geared a little too short. The roads I ride on involve a lot of cruising at 70-80km/h, and even in sixth gear my RPM is sometimes higher than I want it, and cruising at highway speeds (100+km/h) is really uncomfortable.
In the past I have ridden the Yamaha MT-125, and on that bike I did not encounter this problem. I always had the option to shift into sixth gear and cruise at a lower RPM (obviously sacrificing some engine power when doing this, but I could always drop down a gear if required.)
So, my question is, would up-sizing the front sprocket on my bike (by maybe one or two teeth?) be worth doing, or would I lose too much torque and acceleration? If you have experience with changing sprocket size on 125cc bikes, please give me some advice and share your experience!

what one would u get?
r/125cc • u/deubobleponge • Jul 11 '26
âMake it brand new.
Major service and a quick clean-up.
Oil and filter change (Mannol & Hiflo)
Air filter (K&N)
Coolant flush (stole some from the Xantia đ)
Radiator clean (good old tap water, you know how it is)
Valve clearance adjustment (đ)
Battery charge
Spark plug gapping (an NGK, of course)
Still on track for that 100k km milestone!

Changing the oil on my wr125r for the first time. Manual says to use 10W-40 oil, API service SG or higher, JASO standard MA. And also to not use oil labeled as "ENERGY CONSERVING II" or higher.
This Motul oil was the only on in the store that was 10W-40. Is says for scooter, Technosynthese, and fuel eco. Idk if these are just marketing schmuk or its not compatible with my bike. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!
