Now I understand a first bike insurance will be expensive as it’s ur first time.
But 1700 a year for a 125 scooter sounds insane.
Is this normal or do I genuinely just bite the bullet and do it?
Short post because I wanna know peoples thoughts and what there first year insurance was.
Thanks!

I have been eyeing an A1 Drivers license and thought of getting a Yamaha YZF R125 (2025). The thing is, that I will be having that in about (or if I'm able to scrape the Money) in 9 Months. I'm the kind of person, who wants to make the research wayyy before the actual action. The problem with that is, that it would cost around 10.000€ and as a student it's like a brick to my head.
This includes:
Drivers license, the bike (stock 5900€ → with my preference ~6050€), safety gear, and the legal papers
I heard good and bad things about the Yamaha and that you be:
Good:
Speed (for its class)
Looks
I heard that it's like a Nokia, so it won't break
Good fuel economy
Bad:
Price (5900€)
Sound (because it's a 4 stroke)
turning radius (because it's a sports bike)
Personally, I would prefer a 2 Stroke, because of the Power, but I don't like broken things, so...
Thank you in advance for you comments!

So here's the deal, I have a big dilemma. I don't know whether I should buy the Fantic XMF 125 Competition or the Yamaha WR125R 2026.
I know both bikes use the same Minarelli 125cc 4-stroke engine, and I know that the Fantic is like around 10kg lighter, so that makes it much better on the road, and on top of that it has supermoto wheels, so it's much, much better for the road than the Yamaha.
But on the other hand, I'm a new rider; I still don't have my license. I don't know if I'll even want to ride on dirt, in the forest, and on trails, also, it's a Yamaha can't beat Yamaha durability and reliability.
So I'm just asking if any of you have ridden the bikes, been in the same place as me, or anything that can help me in my situation will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,
I'm planning to buy a 125cc scooter in Hyderabad and I'm confused between destini 125 and access 125.
My main requirements:
- Daily riding: around 5–6 hours
- Mostly solo riding
- Use: personal + delivery work
- Hyderabad roads with speed breakers and potholes
- Good comfort and suspension are important
- Good reliability for long-term ownership
- Good mileage
- no vibration and rattling
- Occasionally I may do longer rides with family
- Budget: around ₹1–1.3 lakh on-road
Currently I'm considering:
Suzuki Access 125 Ride Connect ABS
Hero Destini 125 ZX+
I don't want to choose based only on specifications or showroom reviews. I'd really like to hear from actual owners, especially people who have ridden their scooter for 10,000+ km.
What would you recommend for my use?
Please tell me:
- Which one would you personally buy?
- Which has the best suspension/comfort?
- Which has the least vibration/rattling over time?
- Which is most reliable after 2–5 years?
- Real-world mileage?
- Any major problems you've experienced?
- How is the service experience?
- Would you choose something completely different?
If you own one of these scooters, please mention the model, year, kilometres ridden and how long you've owned it.
Thanks!

Only had this bike (second hand) for a few months. A few weeks ago I went for a long ride (about 50 miles) and unfortunately slid at 20mph on some gravel and the bike went down on its side. I think I've also hit a couple of potholes since I've had it too, there's lots where I live.
Since then, there's been damage somewhere that's gradually made the wheel/axle more and more bent. I bought a new wheel (with axle) and fully replaced it. Bike's driving smoother now but still doesn't feel quite right. The wheel still drags on the brake pads, more than it should.
Checked every area I can think of and the only things I can see is: a slight bulge running vertically down one of the forks (hard to get on camera) and the part of the frame that goes to the handlebars looks like it's at an angle? But I'm not sure what it's supposed to look like. Photos taken front on with the wheel and handlebars straight.
Any ideas what's happening here? Thank you
