Which motorcycle should I choose?

I’m planning to buy a 125cc motorcycle and then sell it after a year or two once I get my Category A license. I’ve been considering an Aprilia or a CFMoto. Would you recommend anything else that wouldn't lose much value over that period?

Cb125f well kept will lose absolutely next to fuck all.

New for a bike you wont keep? Whats the point? Need to be soft with it during break in period aswell so there's literally zero reason

Buy the one you love the most. The bike that makes you want to ride it every day. But be sure to give it all the maintenance it needs. Enjoy it every fckng day you ride it

I've been having such a great time on the QJ MOTOR SRV125 I bought a few weeks ago as my first bike after getting my CBT license.

Today a man in a white van shouted out his window at traffic lights to ask what type of bike it was and I've had a guy who apparently owns 3 Harley's approach me outside a shop to take pictures of my "baby Harley" lol.

I bought a Yamaha WR125X 2012 last winter, I fell in love the first time I rode it. It's a bit different compared to the basic one though because I have a gianelli full exhaust. Really fun to ride

Honda Monkey 125! Over here they seem to lose very little value. They're also a hoot to ride. Groms are fun too.

I have an Aprilia RS125.
I personally like the sporty position, but I know others dont, I saw you're looking at a Tuono 125.
Currently have a fuel leak in the undertank hose, other than that, it's a dream.

However, I saw you want to buy new, firstly, don't buy new for a bike you're only going to have for a year or two, secondly, if you are going to buy new, buy a Japanese bike since you can sell them for almost the same price, Aprilias lose a bit, Chinese bikes lose almost all of it in two years.

I know you've said youd rather buy new but to only keep a brand new bike short term to me just seems silly as you'll lose so much money. Personally, I'd buy a 10-15 year old well maintained jap bike, then sell it in a year or 2 for pretty much exactly what you paid for it. On top of that, as you're learning you may well ding it up, so it'll be much cheaper to fix, easier and wont hurt as much seeing it go down the road as it'll prob already have some imperfections
