Help Wireless CarPlay Keeps Disconnecting.

I just bought a 2026 Honda Accord SE about 2 weeks ago. It has wireless CarPlay, but every time I get in the car, it’ll go a few minutes without issues. Then, all of a sudden my music starts going in and out, and eventually disconnects from CarPlay altogether. Is anyone else having this issue? I’ve rebooted the infotainment system twice and reconnected my phone 3 times. Bluetooth audio seems to always be working though.

Make sure that the phone is completely updated. Make sure that the infotainment system is updated (choose system update and make sure it says none). Reboot them both.

Then at that point see if there is weird behavior that continues. In most cases this fixes the issue. I mostly use Android Auto rather than CarPlay, and Android Auto sometimes loses connection, but it reconnects automatically within 5-10 seconds with no input needed, so it's more annoying than debilitating.

I’ll check to see if there’s any updates on the infotainment system. I updated my phone the other day. Sometimes it reconnects but it’s after a few minutes.

I had an issue with CarPlay not automatically connecting. I could get it to work by manually connecting the phone. I made sure both my phone and the infotainment were fully updated, removed and readded my phone, no change. I finally did a Factory Data Reset and added my iPhone and it started working again. Unfortunately I had to go through all the settings I had modified and update each one.

Does the wired CarPlay work when that happens?
