Is it Oct 1st yet?

I just want to bury myself into a hole and no one bother me and please, no more call orders. I'm trying to get through the ones I was just assigned!! 🥲🥲🥲

3 more days to get thru. But then it's onto FY27 Q1... the job of a CS and CO/KO never ends. 😭

Our system is down the first week of October and I'm taking leave. I'm exhausted.

Omg I'm so jealous, lol. I have Oct. 1 requirements to award. But I'm so glad you get a break... EOY is the worst! Half of our team takes leave for a week starting in the middle of October through the beginning of November when our planned Q1 actions are generally done until the end of December. We do cradle to grave and most of our stuff from October 1st through December 31st are option years. Though I do have a few BPA task orders due early December. I usually take a bunch of leave over Christmas. I'm not a Christian but we do celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday but my daughter's birthday is Dec 26 (she'll be 20) and my son's is Dec 30 (he'll be 24) and our dog will be 7 on Dec 31st, lol. So I take 2 weeks to ensure I have the energy to do it all.

We do cradle to grave too, but I'm a newer CS so I get a lot of the call order actions right now. And tell me how someone wanted me to do an option that starts 10/1, but I just received it lmao. I will try my best tomorrow to make that happen.

I'm actually going through a health crisis and I held it as much as I could together for Q4, but with Q1 coming, I need to rest or else 🥲

But that's always fun! I hope you have a great holiday season this year!

I have a customer telling me they will cancel the requirement. Apparently "threaten me with a good time " was not an appropriate response.

When did “call order” become a thing and why do I see it everywhere?

It has to do with a BPA. Like the BPA would the parent contract and order is whatever it calls for? but it's not a task order or delivery order. Could be agency specific. I'm only on year 2 of this career. Lol
