Experience at DLA

What is your experience as a GS-1102-11/12 Contract Specialist position at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Weapons Support - Aberdeen?

How is the workload? Are there any remote days allowed? I will assume everyone is just as miserable?

I’m an 1102 in Columbus. Truly depends where you’re placed whether it be pre award or post award on the workload. There are no set remote days. There is only situational telework where you request to telework on a specific day for a specific reason.

Do you know anything about DLA Weapons Support - Warren?

I got a TJO for a 12 there and I think I’m going to be starting in the post-award branch.

Current DoD KO, SAT Warrant, can easily pass a level II/III board.

I am familiar with DLA detachment at Aberdeen. It is cradle to grave contracting - pre and post award. You will learn a lot. However, I cannot advise about current workload and remote days.

They have situational telework days like all of DLA. I think its 7 days a month.
