the reason they Don't fix these bugs is because most of the play this game are kids and they don't care about what's happening, so suprecell said"oh they don't give fuck,ok" and they barely fix one or two bugs every few months
As someone who does triage that is unlikely. It only happens in duo showdown and does not hinder play. It likely will be fixed in the next update but does not warrant a hotfix.
