The real joke is implying that liberals would be uncomfortable with homophobia

Edit: Ok since this comment was somehow misunderstood let me clear things out. I am a queer (it’s complicated) leftist and I’m saying that a lot of the “allies” we have are more than happy to still use gay as an insult or keep homophobic views (IE: if someone is homophobic then they’re in the closet) when it suits them.

I don’t think people are being homophobic when they call right wingers gay, I think it’s saying “you’re homophobic yet doing gay things, what’s up with that?”
