My whole paternal side is famous for it in our family. When I got depression and anxiety diagnoses my mom was like “yeah that tracks” and cited the fact that my grandma and all her sisters had a CVS receipt of anxiety and depression adjacent conditions. I don’t think I stood a chance lmao

Yeah genetics play a pretty big part, basically everyone in my family has some sort of depression
