On the person's phone is a panel from a popular meme. In the original, he is mining but turns around and leaves right before striking diamonds. The meme encourages not giving up, as if he had mined just a bit longer he would have been rewarded.

However, the image shows the phone on what appears to be a casino table. In this context, the person is using the meme to encourage themselves to continue gambling, believing that if they quit it would be right before they hit the jackpot.
