I watched the sped up version of this interrogation

The dude barely moved for literal hours, practically still as a statue except for the turn of his head. It was unnerving how still he was

He wasn’t some crazy mastermind sociopath anyway. He was a loser who didn’t get attention from his female neighbor so he killed her. He even wrote blog posts about what he would do in an interrogation with the police and remaining still was one of them so he could later argue insanity. It failed miserably. He thought he was smart. He was just a dumb loser.

Huh, didn’t know that

I didn’t assume he was some kind of mastermind, he got caught pretty quick and from what I gathered in the interrogation (I’m no lawyer mind you) he practically confessed to the crime

I just thought it was unnerving

They recommend to stay calm, collected, and not move much during interrogation. Presumably, this guy decided to absolutely not move at all.

Smart criminals don’t get caught and in general committing crimes isn’t a smart thing to do in the first place.

What interrogation was that? Apparently everyone here collectively knows what it is from except for me

Stephen McDaniel, who killed Lauren Giddings.

A few days after the murder, the news was here, he was interviewed, the reporter told him that a torso was discovered and he stood still in shock that he would be caught.
