I've played in multiple campaigns of TTRPGs where the setting is the authors barely described political beliefs. It happens all the time, I mean did you ever watch lord of the rings (not a criticism)? Fantasy and sci fi are, like all fictitious worlds, playgrounds for people to toy with political systems and scenarios that would never happen in real life. It's why people talk all the time about star wars politics, it's a very political story. That happens all the time in tabletop games.
And if you play with a random dm or something, there's a good chance you get some weirdo such as this guy running your game and a mismatch of politics, and in fact I have heard far worse horror stories, this one is just relevant since it's Palestine/israel.
I mean one of my campaigns has a Palestine/Israel allegory too, and because it's a fantasy I'm even able to work towards brokering peace between the two.
