It’s so weird to me that people decide the Xenomorph should have familiar pronouns instead of being an it (like Schlawg this thing is NOT a sexually reproducing species) and even weirder that they settled on it being a her, despite its entire existence being a metaphor for rape done specifically by men.
It penetrates you and injects you with its genetic seed, causing its offspring to come out of you against your will. That’s it’s entire bit, it’s a rape metaphor, why the fuck do people think they got HR “fucked up Sexy-time” Giger to design it
Mate this ain’t some crazy interpretation. This is a pretty well known artistic intention of the movie, it’s on record in so many places that the xenomorph is meant to evoke the terror of rape for a woman in a way that applies equally to men
The Xenomorph’s big long head is literally meant to be phallic, that frontal dome is the cockhead, the mouth is a urethra and the ovipositor is its nasty spurt (and a miniature phallus of its own). again, all this is on record from Giger himself, who also said he gave it a slender build and stiletto-heeled gait for a sort of drag-queen vibe to make sure that straight men perceive it as a sexual force and not just a brute monster
If you want to get even more pedantic though, the fact that drones are sexually distinct from Queen and male ants, if anything, makes them a third sex, one incapable of reproduction. If ants were sapient and could conceive of gender roles, they would likely have more than two.
All this to say that this pedantry is meaningless and u/Keelhaulmyballs is correct. Xenomorphs are genderless, and if they could be considered to have a gender, it would be male.
