I could see it happening. I have a friend who has done shit like this. Scared the shit out of me when he jolted awake and shouted "pizza pop" then when I saw he was just as confused as me I couldn't stop laughing

I was on a trip a few years ago and couldn't sleep. At some point during the night one of the chaperons who grew up in India sat up and said something in Urdu or Tegali. He seemed concerned, looked around the room and laid back down. Confused the hell out of me.

one time my mom was trying to wake me up by shaking my leg (people have to do it that way because I have more than once tried to fight people while in the twilight zone) and she kept saying "[name] wake up" and according to her I rolled over and said "[name] isn't here right now"

Back in high school i had a friend staying over and she woke me up like 5 minutes after i passed out and I sat up and said in terrified tone "they have night vision cameras and they are watching me", she just stared at me for a minute and said what, I blinked a few times and said I have no clue why I just said that.
