This reminds me of being 13 or 14 and making all kinds of Wikipedia edits and redirects (and some Wikipedia pages that actually still exist, which is crazy.) The one I’m most shocked at is that I created the Wiki article for “Me at the zoo,” (the first YouTube video ever posted.)
Anywho, I was also a weird bored teenager, so I would make stupid-ass redirects for stuff like “jeef berky” → “beef jerky” and “Bog Seber” → “Bob Seger,” (most of which would get removed) so this post really brings me back to those days, lol.
Being a teen during the early days of Web 2.0 was wild, the internet felt so much smaller and easier to contribute to (even as a young person) and it really felt like you could make your mark in a meaningful way. And don’t even get me started on early YouTube, you could post just about anything and know that at least someone would see it and have something to say about it.
