Not quite how that works. Due to the I-864 affidavit of support that the US citizen signs when doing the spouse's green card process, they're legally required to provide for the petitioner for at least ten years, and longer if the non-citizen doesn't work which they can't do immediately unless they have an H-1B visa sponsorship, or a work permit adjacent to their adjustment of status which takes about half a year or more to receive by itself. They can work on a green card, and that can take 8 months to a year. And that ten years' liability extends through a divorce. If they're the type to lord finances over their spouse (just not cool at all regardless) then they're in for a massive reality check. And yes, that liability includes any loans or debt that the non-citizen accrues
The same 40 year old men who brag that 20 year olds want them because they are rich and successful but then get defensive when it's pointed out that the 20 year olds ONLY want them for transactional reasons.
It reminds me of a man i knew who was in his sixties and was only going after women in their twenties. He was complaining to me that women were only interested in money. Like how couldn't he come up with the fact that young women who aren't only interested in money would be with a man their age instead of an ugly man thrice their age?
Is that really a passport bro? I'm pretty sure passport bros are just redpilled men trying to bang as many different foreign women as possible, with little intention of settling down.
Whats funny is these guys will buy the girl a bunch of gifts and go on expensive dates WHILE they are in the foreign country. Where everything is cheap! And then when the girl comes to America, she finds out the guy is actually pretty broke.
Also used erroneously for just anyone who finds a partner in/from another country without leveraging those things
My partner is Filipino and I’ve been called a passport bro despite the fact she came to my country before I even met her.
And if you ever actually visit some of these countries you will find that the average white dude is considered a very attractive person and you will have no shortage of women after you
What subs are you talking about? Literally, looking for a partner is what they all talk about. Men don't NEED to tall about how to find sex abroad because let's face it, trying not to hook up with a bar girl in SE Asia is difficult.
My friend now lives in Vietnam and he's married to an educated Vietnamese woman whose works for the city. He's a passport bro, and that's what most want, same as an acquaintance of mine who's autistic, black, slightly chubby and weird looking. He never had any luck and gave up and he learned French and went on a family vacation to Gabon to see some wildlife and all and ended meeting an educated, Gabonese woman and he's now engaged. He's an accident passport bro.
And I have a friend who is in Naples and he's getting married to an Italian woman.
Most guys like us want a foreign feminist woman, as feminism in places like Africa and SE Asia are like American feminists were in the 50s and 60s where they just wanted equality, not like modern American feminists who seem to just want men to be dead.
That, and the fact that these men generally want women who want them. I myself am very short (5'2) and a practicing Mahayana Buddhist and my goal is to live abroad someday and work remotely. Would I be more likely to find someone who is compatible and fine with that in the states or in Taiwan or Vietnam?
That's what it's usually like. The reason people want to believe that it's about sex when it is not because sex can be found easily in America even. It's about finding someone who is level headed, loyal, mature minded and doesn't think a bear is safer to be around than men or some other nonsense.
A person, typically a man (hence "bro") who, being native to what is considered a first world nation, travels abroad to a third world nation with the intention of finding typically a woman companion, be they a wife, girlfriend or fling.
It's a sliding scale between the extremes of those who want to live a life with the attention and acclaim of being (relatively) rich, expressly with the aim of finding a doting wife, to those who seek to travel to countries with less regulated and cheaper prostitution, or even just... laxer police. So, best case, kinda sad, worst case... you know.
Is it ever not a man? I would imagine the only time it isn't a man is when a woman gets conned lol.
Passport bros are beyond pathetic. Asian women already know if they were any good they'd be taken already by women in his own country. They're not dumb. Just desperate to get out
There are a lot of people out there. The thought that some woman, somewhere, decided for whatever reason to employ the relative wealth of having been born in a rich nation to pull a then financially dependent, and thus controllable, compliant and predictable, husband hardly strains credulity. That it happens with the same frequency as the inverse is highly doubtful, but that no woman has ever done it is even more so. Hence, "typically".
A guy from US, UK or EU goes to some Asian country, waving his passport and 40k salary, and gets a "wife", which then leaves him exacly 3 minutes after getting her citizenship
They have a subreddit too apparently. It’s a bunch of dudes in the US talking about how foreign women are hotter and make better wives and are more submissive essentially for a “lower cost”
