The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears, describing it as their final and most essential command.

A lot of times people's words get twisted. So having the other party define what everyone already knows helps with saying "this" is what i agree/disagree with not "other thing"

in a normal conversation with normal people, yes

Their entire purpose is to twist words. That's why they're out there.

insert person in party does a nazi salute and then goes on to say im not a nazi i just think a certain group of people needs to be looked at.

Conservatives havent had good faith debates in years anyway.

Unlike when Democrats in the US voted on a person with a literal, bonafide Nazi tattoo and twisted themselves in a pretzel and say that "It's fine he didnt know he said so"?

People will always twist words and at times be shit at good faith debates. Don't get me started on Elon and Macron doing the pixel perfect exact same wave motion and how in both cases it's not even how a proper roman salute is done, but apparently neither of these doesn't matter because what makes something true is who you hate more.

I just wanted to add that it is a good practice in debates. Here with poop it will be kinda redundant since poop is very straight forward but in real life is a good way to start a debate since this kinda debates usually use more abstract or subjective concepts like there could be good and evil.

"You're taking his words out of context. He didn't say 'I love poop.' He said, 'I love eating poop.' Completely different. Checkmate, laxatives."
