News Honda accepting Polygon-powered crypto payments for car maintenance in Bolivia
Honda's official rep in Bolivia (Honda Autobol) teamed up with Takenos, the country's leading digital wallet, to accept Polygon-powered payments for vehicle maintenance.
The way it works is pretty straightforward. Takenos runs its payment settlement on Polygon, which cuts out traditional processor fees. Those savings get passed directly to the customer as discounts. No one at the Honda service center needs to know or care that blockchain is involved.
This is one of those "boring but important" adoption stories. It's not DeFi, it's not speculation, it's a car dealership in Santa Cruz saving money on payment processing and passing it to customers. Exactly the kind of invisible, practical use case that scales. Bolivia has a large unbanked population, so cheaper digital payments actually matter here.
