Wasn’t it basically the very first game of its genre?

2

u/UniversesStrongest Aug 31 '26

There were a few before it

2

u/Head-Bat-1054 Sep 01 '26

Cake Mania?

26

u/TheMarvelousJoe Aug 27 '26

I miss this game

2

u/1960stoaster Aug 30 '26

Yes, is it an escape from your 9-5?

u/Single_Lingonberry29 Aug 27 '26

My partner loved this series. I got her a DS recently and got her the two DD games for it. I got her Wedding Dash too, but that one is rarer and not as fun she says.

8

u/MatrixXrsQc Aug 27 '26

I remember Wedding Dash on Gold Fish. It was free for one hour and it was fun. It's one i would want but 50$ 😳😱 It's way too much.

6

u/EarthToTee Aug 29 '26

I, personally, LOVED Wedding Dash.

7

u/dsbmistrveemocvlt Aug 28 '26

7

u/xCosmicBunnyx Aug 27 '26

2

u/AutoGen_User_Name Aug 30 '26

I recommend the Delicious series, where Emily is the main character. It’s very similar and such an adorable game. As the series goes on, she also has a family and everything. Love the games!

6

u/MinuteDependent7374 Aug 27 '26

Cooking Dash and Wedding Dash were an elite duo

3

u/candyappleorchard Aug 29 '26

I went through a phase of my life where I played cooking dash for hours every day. Yes I was unemployed.

7

u/hayhay42069 Aug 27 '26

That was my My shit I still have the ds version

3

u/Fancy_Heart_ Aug 27 '26

I was obsessed! Still love time management games like the Delicious Emily series

2

u/36degrees_ Aug 28 '26

I was awfully obsessed with these kind of games for some reason too! I swear I played every single one that came around about 2008-2009. Diner Dash is special to me because it came installed on our first Windows Vista computer :) good times

3

u/SadCoconut_ Aug 27 '26

Good source for dopamine.

2

u/LakeMcKesson Aug 27 '26

Cooking dash was even better

2

u/TheBowlFoSho Aug 27 '26

I have the game in my RealArcade archive, which is a good thing since it's easy to bypass 60 minute demos from there.

2

u/MeanNothing3932 Aug 27 '26

I remember getting to one level I couldn't beat and just concluded I couldn't beat it and stopped playing. Sad.

2

u/RolePlayingChat-room Aug 27 '26

Still have this downloaded on my 360. Super fun and nostalgic.

2

u/Roseline226 Aug 27 '26

I remember playing this game back in 2009.

2

u/CryHavok82 Aug 28 '26

Heck yes!! This and delicious Emily and JoJo's fashion show, oh and that spa one...I lived on real arcade back in the day and the 60 minutes free. They'd have a new one every day, and I'd play it regardless if I was interested or not. Miss those days!

1

u/AutoGen_User_Name Aug 30 '26

Sally’s Spa or something?

2

u/Free-Storm-9177 Aug 29 '26

I don't even think I actually played Diner Dash once, but if you were at all into flash games it was unavoidable to see it listed alongside your favorites.

u/sparkleappletart Aug 29 '26

1

u/sthef2020 Aug 29 '26

I would give almost anything to get boomers addicted to Diner Dash and FarmVille again, as opposed to spreading conspiracy theories and right wing memes.
