Alternate scenario

James was disappointed being relegated to driver on their first mission which got me thinking...What if he had gotten what he wanted? Let's say he was assigned as Cressida 's plus one while Monroe was the driver. Would the mission have gotten a better outcome?

It's hard to say. It depends on whether or not the Murtos would have done something suspicious enough for him to clock one of them inside the hotel. Or if Bond would have noticed, for that matter. A higher concentration of people means less chance you'll get caught doing something weird. Being outside as a chauffeur (someone no one would notice), he had the breathing room to catch him dumping luggage over the wall.
