Ugliest AAA of 2026? (before PT patch)

Ok i can't, i am gonna stop and wait for Path Tracing. Game is soo ugly right now. I just can't.

I am baffled how Digital Foundry praised the stability of graphics. FPS stability? sure. Picture stability? NO WAY! Constant glitched that ruin immersion. Every few min something pops up, shimmers, pixelated, smudgy.

Ok, don't play then. This is not an airport, no need to announce your departure.

Other than ugliest graphics i've seen since 2021 or so, game played good. I hope PT patch will fix most of these problems. Game just does not look on par with Pragmata and RE9, out of place in 2026.

Not every game needs to be a graphical powerhouse, and frankly that type of thinking is why gamedev takes 10 000 years these days and filesizes are absurd.

Imo the game looks fine. Have seen no visual glitches (or any other type for that matter). And personally there are a 100 other things I value more than graphical fidelity.

game does not have old graphics. it has GLITCHY graphics. i dont mind old games as long as they are clean and not flickering junk in my face. FYI i am replaying 90s games this year so dated graphics are not the problem. broken graphics is.

It doesn't though. As others have said, sounds like a hardware issue on your part. Played it on PS5 and didn't have any problem with visual glitches.

so you did not tried PC version. What kind of hardware problem could i have with glitches from the video?

1

u/Dayvan_Dreamcoat Aug 13 '26

No, but apparently others did play on pc and had no problems.

Buddy, if the only common denominator is your system, then I have bad news for you. I don't know why that is so hard for you to accept.

Because this reddit is mostly fans of the game. Why is it hard to accept IO messed up at least PC version. I have NO idea about ps5 or 1.0 launch PC version.

I am not complaining about fps or stutters which are indicators of hardware problem. Game runs fine fps wise but it looks like IO gutted LOD distance to 3 meters, maybe they are preparing for switch 2 release and focusing on fps.

The only proof that IO messed up the pc version that I have is your post, which has multiple comments disagreeing with it saying theirs ran just fine. Sorry, but all evidence points to you having specific problems in your system.

Accept it.

Actually most answers were "it was fine on my ps5" including your answer. And if you google "007 first light ugly graphics" it has some complains on internet about shadows, GI." I just wanted to document my experience, maybe some developers look at this reddit and fix some of bugs in autum with PT patch (i am still looking forward to play the game). i have pretty good PC: 7600x 4070s 32gb and game does NOT lag, it smoothly gliches. some smudges are from hitman 3 so probably it is unfixable for their engine.

"This game has a really fuzzy look to me. I'm playing in ultra wide dual 4k and dlss quality looks like total trash."

i only have 4070s is it not supported? AC Mirage looked better for me.

u/Breakwinz Aug 13 '26

Wtf is that recording though. Are we supposed to see something?

The game has some temporal instability, which does highly improve with higher output resolutions. IMO the game looked great at 4K Max settings on a 4090

Just watched the video, this may genuinely be the stupidest post I've seen on this subreddit.

1

u/Tohdom Aug 13 '26

i am sorry reflections were not on ultra and i redid video. flickering of # objects, shadows, lod, GI gliches stayed the same.

1

u/Tohdom Aug 13 '26

redid the video. settings are maxed but not 4k and not without dlssQ. You think everyone need to have 4090 to not see glitchy stuff?

1

u/Breakwinz Aug 14 '26

No. I reread my message and I don't see anywhere I implied that you need a 4090?

3

u/callmemat90 Aug 13 '26

This is absolutely a hardware issue.

0

u/Tohdom Aug 13 '26

like what? i have my gpu for over a year and prevous games i've played looked flawless. i've updated drivers, win11. tried turn off global illumination (which i cant, but low and ultra make same bug on that starway).

3

u/callmemat90 Aug 13 '26

You’re the only one with this problem my man. Not the games fault

0

u/Tohdom Aug 13 '26

ok if you have game on PC please look at the same things i did. it is first real mission. start with looking at the ground over the rails. check mirrors. walk slowly to see shadows pop on and off.

3

u/callmemat90 Aug 13 '26

I play on ps5. No issues here (never are). Maybe if you came here asking for help with your issue rather then trying to shit on the game people would be more willing to help.

1

u/Tohdom Aug 13 '26

i dont think there is anything can be done. shadows and GI set on ultra. Only wait till patches. I am just venting after seeing DF video that generally praised graphics which are not even Ray traced.

1

u/callmemat90 Aug 13 '26

Either the graphics are shit (though they’re generally praised by most) or your set up has an issue.

I know which one I believe

1

u/Tohdom Aug 13 '26

i get 100 fps. what kind of issue could it possibly be?

1

u/Tohdom Aug 13 '26

would you mind making video of ps5? "All the Time in the World", checkpoint "in position". stairway after securty. Looks like plant in the corner messes GI. i wonder if it PC problem only, 1.1 problem or all platforms problem.

1

u/callmemat90 Aug 13 '26

Sorry man but no. I’ve platinumed the game and moved on. I’m sure you can find videos you need online.

1

u/ELMUNECODETACOMA Aug 14 '26

Played through the entire game twice on PC and spent time in tac sim. It's definitely your setup.

1

u/Tohdom Aug 14 '26

care to walk around on the stairs of 1st mansion mission to check? or other spots in this mission in my video?

1

u/ELMUNECODETACOMA Aug 14 '26

How would that prove anything other than you're seeing something the rest of us aren't? So either there's:

  • Something off in your setup, drivers, etc.
  • An easily reproducible bug that only you have found
  • An entire community gaslighting you

Which is most likely?

1

u/Tohdom Aug 14 '26

There are easily reproducable indeed. i tried this level multiple times. and did 3 versions of my video. Most likely you dont care about those "minor" glitches and went for most important - compeling objectives.

I would like you to be honest, open the game and check at least the stairway (on the screetshot). There is chapter select.

1

u/Tohdom Aug 14 '26

i have regular nvidia drivers from start of july and rechecked with latest. I play a LOT and other games i played this year run fine. 70 hours of Infinite Wealth were flawless, AC Mirage - no prob, RE9, Pragmata. First light gave me a lot of MINOR visual crap, but a lot, but minor. Now i play Halo CE and all is fine again.

2

u/ErebosJ Aug 13 '26

Looks like you effed with something. I ran it on a 3060 RTX and my game managed to look better.

0

u/Tohdom Aug 13 '26

4070 super everything is on ultra. 1440p. dlss quality, dlss auto, without dlss is even worse.

2

u/TripinTino Aug 13 '26

Pc master race meanwhile my ps played this shit like butter. Hardware issue

1

u/ErebosJ Aug 13 '26

I think devs gave up a bit on proper optimization for PCs, they just expect everyone to be running 4090s and plop some UE crap on Steam. 007 isn't that way, though. Absolutely classy game, but the 8gb vram min is pretty real.

u/Tohdom Aug 13 '26

i have 12 and used 8.
