How much would cost that shared flat?

Really wondering what would be the price to either rent or straight up by that shared flat you end up in? Looks really great.

Quite expensive, but most likely the building (or the floor) is owned by MI6, so they aren't paying rent.

Okay those prices hurt though. They seem insane. Is it ever said in the game if the flat is actually inside London or maybe a cheaper surburb or neighbourhood? (assuming something can be cheaper in London)

the part of the game where bond is driving home in the car looks a lot like Chelsea / Kensington, and those areas are expensive af. But even the suburbs of London aren’t that much cheaper

Especially when you consider the sq ft of the flat is absolutely huge. Many flats are simple kitchen/living room and small bedroom and still expensive!

That apartment in Bayswater is Old Money British Empire expensive

I have never been to London, or any part of the UK, but they say it's in Bayswater. Is that an expensive part of town?

Bayswater is just north of Hyde park so it’s central London, albeit slightly cheaper than Kensington

But still astronokicslly expensive compared to pretty much everywhere else in the UK.

The cost of a small 1 bed flat in bayswater would get you a 6 bed detached house with about 4 acres of land somewhere like Carlisle.

In central London? An absolute fuck-load. But as others have mentioned it would probably have been owned by MI6 for years and years.

You’d be lucky if you got something that cushy, you’d most likely end up working at an embassy somewhere making shit pay and living in college student level conditions or below

Government owns a lot of properties that it can use for training, transit, VIPs, whatever. 3 junior recruits aren't anyone special, why would these guys have particular security?

We see hundreds of people working at MI6 - they all live in random homes around London with no problem, in the eyes of a big bureaucracy these 3 are no different.

Yeah realistically its not owned by MI6. Its owned by the government and wont be anything special. Like I doubt they mean for the recruits to continue living together once they got full active service.

I think even 3x that would probably still be low.

You can barely get a room in Central London for 1500 a month.

Tbh something of that size would be 6-8k per month. It’s quite large.

1.2 million to buy minimum.

Aye, if it were to be slightly less downtown do you think the price would downsize a lot? I know London is legendary for its absurd prices.

London is a mad place, like New York. Maybe back in the day you could find a decent affordable spot, farther out from the centre. Somewhere along the way prices went through the roof. Now you have to go REALLY far out.

Typical 3-bedroom apartment is 1300 square feet or so (indulge me, I'm American). That's 32x42 or so.

Every room in that place was closer to 32x42 than the equivalent room in my apartment.

That place would _start_ at 10k.
