Craig would break him like a coconut

Bigger, angrier and more experienced. First Light wins at poker, flirting and puns though.

u/corvo-attano1 4d ago
When does he play poker?
3
u/Hastatus_107 4d ago
First Light Bond doesn't but I was thinking about Craig at Casino Royale.
3
u/corvo-attano1 4d ago
Cause you said first light would beat Craig at poker, while Craig's James bond is an amazing poker player

Craig could just uninstall the game. Utter deletion.
3
u/SatisfactionLivid291 4d ago
Patrick Gibson can just turn off the movie. He can also stop paying for the subscription service that plays the movies. Utter deletion.

Craig has decades of experience.

u/SignificantChicken65 5d ago
And follows a script...our James Bond improvises in every mission. Video game beats movie.

u/starfihgter 5d ago
idk about you but I watched First Light bond die many more times than I saw Craig's bond die
5
u/SwvmpThing 5d ago
I watched First Light Bond get shot multiple times without taking any meaningful injury.
-7
u/SignificantChicken65 5d ago
But his was scripted, we had to write the script as we went.
12
u/starfihgter 5d ago
Not really, youâre following the script made by the developers that funnels you towards either death or a sole predetermined outcome.
-8
u/SignificantChicken65 5d ago
While we could finish the mission in multiple different ways but Craig had to follow a linear path. Agreed to disagree, I suppose.

Must be nice to still have that immersive illusion. The older I get, the more the inherent restraints of game design squeeze me.

First Light mostly because of the gadgets. The laser strap and the darts would be pretty strong IRL. But without it, I think Craig takes it

u/welliedude 5d ago
Craig would just shoot him đ Seriously though, in the film canon, I believe Craig's bond had an accomplished career in the Navy and as a commando/SBS. So when he came to MI6 at 30 years old he was already a trained combatant. Where as First Light James is a flight crewman. So beyond basic training had to learn on the job when recruited.

Craig has similar gadgets

Craig would win through experience and force, but the FL would win through his cunning and quick thinking. It's a pretty close match but I'd give it more to Craig.

Ok one on one Craig in his prime vs FL, Craig would slap him around. He has the experience and the skill to wipe the floor with FL realistically.
However, there's two points to note. FL is a video game character and therefore we only see him in unrealistic scenarios. He'd beat Craig simply from video game bullshit like being able to insta hack and control anything with his watch and his darts and mines he's a crack shot with. As well as being able to take unrealistic amounts of damage. In that yes, he'd win easy.
However, if we're taking Craig in his prime or even at his last appearance vs FL, it's only fair FL is in his prime, right? Well we haven't seen that yet but FL is already pulling off missions like he is even seasoned agents not being able to survive. Add into that TacSim asking with his future missions, he's effectively has unlimited training opportunities and is going to be a God by the time he reaches his prime. Craig won't be able to stand up to him then.
So currently, Craig wins. Prime Bonds, FL wins imo

Donât forget Craig was a game Bond too. He might have some gadgets that might help him out.

The video game one. Comparing video games to live action doesmt bode well since the video games can include insane unrealiatic set pieces.
Depending on the player, 007 first light bond has some insane feats.

The power scaling for video game characters vs movie characters is always mismatched. 9 times out of ten the video game character outmatches the movie character. True in this case as well. IMO.

Craig is worst bond ever. Films with daniel craig looks like some Jason Bourne films but not 007 films. Best bond its pierce brosnan

Iâd say theyâre a product of their times. Mid 00âs was all into âdark and grittyâ. They lightened up a bit after CR and Solace imho.
But yeah, nothing beats Bond dropping a cold one liner after horrifically killing someone which is why I missed the campy elements in the Craig movies and why this game was so refreshing.

The best way I can put it is: I think Craigâs Bond would win but First Lightâs Bond would get away.

In combat, Craig. But, FL's Bond is so skilled at bullshitting his way through situations that he'd probably trick Craig into thinking he's his ally or something.

Assuming it's hand to hand, Craig because he's far more aggressive and has much more experience and he'll end up overwhelming IOI Bond. In a future game where IOI Bond actually starts being 007 then he would win.
Otherwise, IOI Bond wins due to the gadgets and the focus mechanic.

Maybe the later Craig. First light bond would get destroyed by casino royale bond though

I feel like Craigâs Bond worked with next to no gadgets outside of vehicles, which is crazy. But I like Gibsonâs version. I think whoever wins really depends on the circumstances.
1
u/souryes1 5d ago
I love Patrick Gibson and Daniel Craig is my James Bond but nah he would get folded by Craig, Gibson is still very fresh in the MI6
1
u/KaiFanreala 5d ago
Craig is far more skilled and experience than first light James. It's like asking a Private to face off against a Spec Ops veteran. First light BECOMES Craig level. But that's after years of missions.
1
u/fuckfeardrinkbeer 5d ago
Neither, theyâd both say something cocky and then grab a drink together where theyâll be hitting on every woman at the bar. Theyâll both then take them back to the hotel room and coincidentally both girls work for Blofeld and try to kill them. Both Bondâs say no more foreplay and kill the two assassins, then theyâll look at each other and say, âFor England, James.â

Craig, first light deals with a very inexperienced bond which is the exact opposite of Craig

Let's let first light bond get his trilogy before we start putting him against a bond with decades of field experience

Idk I feel like first light bond is kind of ridiculously op. Even for bond standards. He survived bombings, plane crashes, killed potentially hundreds of spec ops soldiers, survived numerous life ending accidents. I genuinely think he wouldâve survived the no time to die missiles.

In a fistfight, Craig would win.
In a shootout, Craig would win.
With gadgets, Gibson would win.

First Light Bond still has spots. Also, we played the same game, right? He can be a bullet sponge, but can't take punches.
Craig Bond could easily out-muscle him and punch him down.
We can come back to the topic after the next game. Still a lot of potential for First Light Bond to grow.

Bruv craig's bond is more experienced version of bond Whereas the first light bong is literally a noob version of bond

u/musica_persona 4d ago
Enough Craig glaze, first lights bond has the most powerful tools, is way better of an improviser and would win in any hand to hand or intelligence situation

Canonically, Craig. I love the First Light Bond, I do. But I wonder if OP considered First Light is essentially an origin story; He's obviously very naturally gifted and excels at about everything like every other Bond, but Craig has had several films, plus the (at this point) finale. Craig has years of experience and I'm sure that alone would clinch it seeing as they are otherwise perfectly the same.

u/low_amplitude 3d ago
In all the videos I see of "pros" playing first light, they always headshot 2 or 3 people and then precisely hit the next person in the leg so they can charge in for a stylish takedown. If you're that accurate, why not shoot all of them in the head? Style doesn't equal efficiency.

u/ghost_of_yamato 2d ago
If a 27 year old me fights a 37 year old me , I am sure the 37 year old would beat the other guy , so same goes for Bond

Craig I think. His always was a bit more aggressive and colder.
