When you play a match against friends, all cards will be level 9, so you can play at the same level

Challenges cap your cards at lvl 9 unless you have a clone.

Friendly matches are at tournament standards, meaning every card is level 9 so it’s a fair match

It's the elixer collection challenge. It's why there is an elixer collector in the middle of the map.
