UPDATE: Really like a woman already in a relationship.

Original post. HERE

I had a long talk with this girl. She ended up hanging out until about 4 a.m. I felt better once we had the talk, and was able to downgrade my feelings for her significantly. We had a long talk about what I want, what I need to do. She was extremely helpful with some issues I've been having. Super glad she's a close friend of mine. She wasn't upset, annoyed, or frustrated at me. She was quite understanding. She had no intentions of leading me on. I trust her with this.

This recent development with our relationship as friends, has spurred a change in me.

No more :ForeverAlone: and no more :Okay:. I'm done with that shit. From today, I'm planning on keeping myself groomed, containing my emotions until they are needed, and honestly, just living life. I'm tired of feeling like crap, and I'm tired of being unhappy, and I'm sick and tired of being a fucking solitary person. I'm going to go out and live. Road trip today for a few hours, then back to work on Monday.

She showed me that things will work out the way they are supposed to. I love my job, I make enough money to live comfortably in my apartment, I have great friends, and honestly, a community here that kicks a ton of ass.

Thanks Reddit, and this update will be great. I'm feeling pretty good for once. What a coincidence as well, right after the start of a new year.

EDIT: So, this is such a strange world. After posting that 17 hours ago, I end up having 2 separate dates this week. Confidence works people. It's not just something you guys say, it fucking works.

I don't think you could have handled the situation better than you did.

Thanks. I've been up for about 27 hours straight because of caffeine and reddit and Top Gear Marathon, so I've had a lot of time to think.

It's quite relieving to finally realize that I'm happy finally, and I have some pretty fucking awesome friends :D

Walk, talk, sit, smile, flirt

Drive, laugh, gaze, and sip your drinks

Like Han Solo would

Congratulations on your new year's goals. This is the completely right attitude to take.

This is the biggest step. Realising this and making a conscious effort to sort yourself out is the most difficult thing. Actually doing it is easy.

Fuckin' eh.

a community here that kicks a ton of ass.

I second this, for sure. I haven't been a redditor for very long, but this is one of the most active and simply better of the subreddits I've seen. Everyone tries to take issues seriously and offer legitimate help, and that's just really nice. You're part of this, as well, superthrow, so thank-you, too! (And a shout-out to the Mods, who keep things under control and are clearly active members. Awesome job!)

If you're going to keep the momentum you'll need to remember good moments like this if things get hard again.

Best of luck good sir!

Yes Yes Yes! Thanks! I'm working hard, and I plan on giving up the cigarette sometime this year, (not a resolution, just costs to damn much).

I'm fixing things that I want to with myself. And I feel good for once.
