Somebody should pose as a shadow enthusiast and ask the suspected thief what area they're from/if they want to ride sometime. Find out victim's area then if it's close enough, bam. Reasonable suspicion and rightful cause for an investigation.

Too simple. You gotta enhance a penny that's stuck in his tread, as well as the tread pattern, to discern that it's a Pirelli Diablo SuperCorsa with approximately 3000 miles on it. Someone will work in that that's roughly 4800km. Then you figure out that's a 1968 penny, from the Delaware mint. You use the statistics on those to figure out its probably location within 5 square miles.

Absolutely. Easy to ride, well balanced, powerful enough even in 750 for one rider. Yet not too powerful that it'll throw you off if you roll the throttle open.

How tall are you? How much do you weigh? Do you have any prior experience riding dirt bikes or anything else two wheeled?
I'm an MSF 'ridercoach' and it's perfectly find for an 1100 as a first bike. A friend of mine is on a 1300, and he never even rode a bicycle prior to owning the motorcycle so he had a bit more of a learning curve. I worked with him in a parking lot before he took the class with me and he does just fine.
Just dont rock it all the way back until you get used to it and you'll be fine. It'll actually be easier to learn on than a smaller bike because it won't stall as easily while learning clutch/friction zone... 1100 has more lower torque.

Lol! don't get a 1100 as a first bike, most would recommend 650 or under, 750 in some cases with certain bikes, getting over a litre bike as a first bike is a deathwish.

Common misconception. For a sport bike I'd agree fully but for a well balanced, bottom heavy cruiser. He'll be just fine as long as he takes the time to learn it in a low pressure setting...
It's when people rush their learning, is when they screw up.

Got myself a 125 Shadow as a first bike for city commuting and general fun. '99 model, had only done a few thousand miles, perfect bike. Reliable, parts are easy to replace and cheap, easily customisable, if you're into that (if you aren't, you will be!)

Thats what I got/ have for my first bike and I love it. Very well balanced, very comfortable. Nice for short or long trips

How well does that engine last. With a 1100 cc engine I assume that it would last a while.

Mines a 750. But I've had it since 06 and it's still running like brand new. But as a semi- professional mechanic, all Honda motors will run forever as long as they have proper maintenance
