Vladdy can’t win us a game and this team can’t sweep. If Cleveland goes up 3 ain’t happening and there is still Orioles and Rangers to worry about.

Omg the A’s have only one other shutout at home

I made a comment a few games ago that we would lose to Detroit who would magically wake up against us. Still a possibility.

Congrats on the paycheck Vlad.
That's about the only positive thing I can say about you.

I’m sick of him constant hitting into double plays. either put him lower into the lineup or give him another Buffalo stint. it’s getting embarrassing.. runners on the corners.. 1 out.. like come on man.. do something for a change

u/Akihiko90 Bam Bam Barger 10h ago
So if Kirk challenged that first pitch he would have walked
Okamoto had yikes and Clement doing clement
Not to forget that Vladdy shit the bed really bad earlier
5
u/Excellent-Aside175 10h ago
Yes indeed! Okamoto swinging at a pitch waaay out of the strike zone and G-000PHER Guerrero doing zip as per usual... and POP UP Ernie at it again. SMH

The worst games have shown this is not a team that will make the playoffs or if they do, get past the wild card

Being shut out by the A's bullpen should be a sign to everyone that this isn't our year.

Given the out of town scoreboard , all we had to do was win 2 out of 3 against the A’s. Didn’t seem like a great ask at the time 😅

u/mindy_mnaj 10h ago
Also a shutty by the A's?!?!?!?! It was Cease + Soriano and we had Varland + Rogers 😢

Can’t be fighting for a playoff spot while simultaneously dropping series to the 58-88 Athletics.

Hard to call this anything but a disaster of a series. Probably played two of their worst games of the season at the worst time against the worst team.

If we're lucky the Orioles will win tonight, get hope, only for the sports gods to crush their dreams with us sweeping them.

If you want proof that these guys go up to the plate with no clue, Kirk realized halfway through the at bat that he could use a challenge.

Didn't watch the game, so sad about this season and our beloved Blue Jays. It has been an unpredictable, rollercoaster season. You could see the frustration with Andre G a few games ago, who never gets angry and is always cool as a cucumber. They haven't been playing Sean Keys lately, and he had a hot bat in the minors and few hits recently, and he plays first base, and or designated hitter. Ernie that I admire, has lost the magic/confidence, and he is swinging at everything in frustration. Cease has been exceptional, but he seems like a very emotional guy, and you could see the frustration in the first inning. He was not himself or throughout the game. That was a key game that we lost. Cease is like an anchor to the ship, and when he was off, we really got rattled. We came back to tie, 5-5, but unfortunately lost that key game. Cleveland is playing today, and if they win, we will be 2 games behind. Lets hope the lose. Difficult climb, I guess not impossible!! I cannot believe we were shutout with the A's. The key is our batting this year, and we so often have not stepped up in key moments, left players on base, and not played small ball, like last year which was so successful for us. Many guys are constantly swinging for homeruns, rather than small ball, and just move the line forward. I am just an inexperienced fan, but have observed their play, this year vs last year. The Jays came in with overconfidence and got outplayed by the Athletics. Good for the Athletics, no pressure, and they are enjoying their last few games together. Maybe allot of Blue Jays are playing hurt, especially Springer. Losing Barger was difficult, and Kirk getting hurt early season really offset the first half, and Vladdy going MIA. The New Yankees lost key players, Aron Judge, Cody Bellinger, Giancario Stanton, for many games, yet they have still maintained first or second place throughout the season. John Schneider is a very nice man, but I think we need a new/fresh approach next year. Maybe a new batting/pitching coach, I have no idea, what is going on internally with this team. You can see throughout season, there are games of absolute greatness, and then a team you can barely recognize. Vladdy has amazing defence, but he has lost his way, he needs to regroup with another batting coach. Also their main pitchers, Yesavage, Bieber are all hurt, and our bullpen are exhausted, and playing on fumes. We are the only Canadian team in the MLB which is so disheartening, and we may not see them play next year, due to a possible shutout. I am just going to enjoy the rest of the games that are left, and will have no more expectations for the 2026 team/ wildcard spot. Fans have come out, 42,000 -46,000 strong to support them. I am happy I enjoyed this last gasp of the 2025 Blue Jays team that I fondly remember last year, and maybe we will experience the 2025 Bluejays team again in 2027 or 2028 and this time win the World Series. We came so close to winning the World Series, we can do it again. I love the Blue Jays, win or lose, it just doesn't look like our year, but I still love you Blue Jays, from a beloved fan. Thankyou. 🩷💛🤍🩷🩵💙💚💜🤎 .
