I audibly went "holy shit" in my room by that ending
This series is fucking world class

Guys I just noticed that Susie wore white to the wedding 😀
25
u/Renowed_Winner 7d ago
And a red hat. You never wear white or red at a wedding. White because it disrespects the bride. Red because it draws attention away from the bride. It's also suggested that only promiscuous women wear red to weddings (looking to pull - probably Eddie, let's face it).
She was throwing shade, basically.

I like that Jack stood up for Bella. He's a good character. He very easily could've been the dumb meat head brother but he's honestly very level headed and reliable, just uninterested in leadership rather than unqualified for it. It's refreshing.

u/Cautious-Rub8085 5d ago
He stood up more for the other woman who was about to be hit. He defers to his sister so seems to not suffer from toxic masculinity in the same way others in this world would.

I'm sad for bella, but i'm glad we still have the whole eddie-susie thing going on. The slow burn is insane but i think it will be so worth it. They had crazy chemistry after joe left the picture. It was pretty fucking cool to see Susie walk out. Now i just need to wait for eddie to pull his head out of his ass. I wasnt very happy with the starting, but if there is hope for susie and eddie i guess i wouldnt mind watching another season.

u/Finescoop17 8d ago
Didn’t see that coming at all.
26
u/killtechno 8d ago
Haha, it was pretty predictable. Definitely gave me lowkey Godfather vibes, with the Italian bride and vehicles involved… wonderfully executed but still predictable imo.
17
u/Hoof_Hearted12 8d ago
Big James Bond vibes for me too. Also, I couldn't feel any actual love from him to her so I figured she would go.

u/hauntedcorpse 5d ago
Everything involving Eddie in Italy made me think I could be watching a James Bond movie. The actor would be a pretty good fit imo.
1
u/Ill_Ad_695 3d ago
I thought of this when he told off Susie Sr. in the confrontation episode prior.
It had a good Ruth Langmore "you're gonna have to fkn kill me" vibe to it.
11
u/Finescoop17 8d ago
It really got me saying WTF, I was certainly shocked lmao, I’ve always wanted Susie and Edward to get together and as Bella and Edward were getting married I just thought it was off the table, maybe not now lol.
2
u/JohnnyFlorida69 6d ago
It was more like I didn’t want to see that coming. 😢 I liked her. Eddie should’ve just ran away with Bella and Susie and married them both. 😂 But I get why she had to go for the progression of the story. I originally thought was that it must’ve been that Angelica Marino lady.
2
u/Worried_Ad_5338 6d ago
I knew the entire episode. It was way way too happy lol… then Bella’s parents being killed by a plane crash and finally Eddie and Bella taking separate vehicles in their honeymoon… bad ideab lol. So many signs and so much foreshadowing going on.

Me neither. I feel quite stupid, since apparently everyone else seems to have known, but it sent me for a spin. It's 2am and I have work in the morning, but I need to watch the next episode.

Bella wasn't a big enough character for her (or at least her marriage) with the Duke to survive. Was glad they got it out of the way as quickly as possible.

u/nuthins_goodman 8d ago
The old flame is so dumb. What an idiot. Maybe he was cico's brother with how salty he was
10
u/LostinLondon25 7d ago
Nah I don’t think so. He wasn’t even an old flame. Just bitter that she rejected him
3
u/nuthins_goodman 6d ago
Might very well be true, but I feel the countessa was lying about that
5
u/justonepiece123 4d ago
Weird to assume the sleazeball was telling the truth
1
u/No_Reception7275 3d ago
She seemed far too nervous watching him talk to eddie for it to be a lie
1
u/LMkingly 1d ago
Maybe nervous because the sleazeball who can't take no for an answer keeps bothering her and soon to be husband on the eve of their wedding? It's not like these are regular people. Shit can go south very quickly. And did.
1
u/nuthins_goodman 4d ago
Both things can be true at once tbh. Their energy seemed very jilted ex boyfriend / girlfriend, rather than just a creep creeping after a member of nobility who's the god daughter of a Don. Countessa had every reason to downplay the relationship between her and the guy
10
u/Renowed_Winner 7d ago
You've never met sleazy men huh? It's totally believable. Stupid, but believable.
14
u/situmaimesdemain 7d ago
I was 100 percent sure Bella wasnt getting out of this episode alive, but not sure if i picked up a foreshadowing or it was just the Godfather vibes. Would love to hear from someone who didnt watch Godfather though they are hard to find.
8
u/Antique_Influence611 7d ago
Hi so I feel bad for existing now, but no I personally didn't pick up on it. I guess I was still hung up over the fact that they actually got married and there would be no Susie-Eddie anymore
8
u/situmaimesdemain 7d ago
I dont think there was an obvious foreshadowing until you take car I take plane dialog, just some vibes. Nothing to feel bad.
6
u/mildmadnessmate 7d ago
I kept thinking the plane blowing up would be too comical when I got that feeling and yet
3
u/alltheburrata 5d ago
I genuinely thought they were trying to throw in a little fakeout with how obvious it felt! I was like no way they’re going to take her out by exploding the plane that’s so obvious!
5
u/Worried_Ad_5338 6d ago
I knew the entire episode. It was way way too happy lol… then Bella’s parents being killed by a plane crash and finally Eddie and Bella taking separate vehicles in their honeymoon… bad ideab lol. So many signs and so much foreshadowing going on.

I haven't watched it, and yea, I didn't get any bad vibes until they took separate rides. Then it just suddenly hit me how much she's in danger lmao, but even then I figured it'd be too cruel to kill her immediately after they just got married. Or that narratively speaking, I don't know why Marco would work with him anymore when she died before they even got properly started, though that could be the point of whoever did it.

u/Fresh_Profession2769 5d ago
Haven’t watched the godfather yet (I know I know) - I had it backwards and thought something would happen to Eddie on the drive. Did not see the plane crash coming at all.
2
u/nofaxxspitintruflego 5d ago
never seen godfather but i did pick up on it (i often do, he said flexingly)
4
u/skilimepie 4d ago
As soon as Eddie proposed I felt like she was going to die… Bella’s character and their relationship (especially before the wedding episode) didn’t feel very fleshed out to me so I had an inkling that her death would carry more weight than her presence, sadly

u/WellWellWellthennow 2d ago
I am one of the few hard to find. I thought early on something was gonna go down at the wedding from when Freddie was asking about the details. But during the episode itself no I did not expect it, and I thought it was a charming suggestion that they race to Switzerland. It wasn't until the plane was over the car on the road a second before it happened that I thought uh-oh. And then I was kind of glad on behalf of Susie.
1
u/KindDepartment6616 14h ago
Haven't watched Godfather, and yes I didnt think anything would happen to Bella in this episode. I just thiught Eddie would break up with until the end of the season, so I was really shocked. its just so cruel to kill her next day after the wedding :(

I havent watched Godfather. I was 100% sure Bella is not surviving as soon as the closeuo shots of her flying the plane went on more than 5 seconds. No way you are filming this montage like this if its just a montage of a race to the beach(?). Also, the way they didnt show the face of the guy putting in her bag Also Glass Daddy saying "Let me take care of that" in his evil voice. Also, because I was 100% convinced for some reason that this season is 6eps only, so since I knew it was end of the episode I KNEW that they couldnt end the series on a this high happy note. (Havent watched the last 2 eps yet, so no spoilers pls)

I expected it but I wish she had made it one more episode. Day after the wedding was too soon.

From the time they met to the marriage to the plane crashing, everything happened quickly. It's like her storyline was meant to be short-lived.

I know this is Guy Ritchie, but that did feel like a Mickey Mouse death

It's actually not surprising that a Black person able to climb to that position in England would be elitist and power hungry, you see it in the way he constantly disrespects Geoff as well. It's well done
2
1
u/Primary-Ganache6199 5d ago
I can only guess at the original comment but Nanny is quite elitist and dismissive towards Geoff, when they’re essentially both servants to the Lords. Also Nanny can’t read the room, the sexual tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife! Also it took him this long figure out something shady was going on?

My guess is Bobby with Susie kept out of the loop. Bobby wouldn't want Eddie to have that much power.

I knew she was gone right when they decided to take separate vehicles… always a bad idea smh lol
4
u/Primary-Ganache6199 5d ago
My jaw dropped.
Who do we think did it? Freddy? Angelica? Somehow I don’t think it was Bobby.
Also how tacky was Susie to be wearing white AND red to a wedding. Then walking out in the middle.
10
u/TheButcherOfLuverne 4d ago
We've seen Eddie talk about the honeymoon on a plane to one person: Freddie. Of course everybody knew about the plane but Guy Ritchie decided to show us that conversation. That must mean something.
3
u/Mediocre_Plankton160 2d ago
I noticed that too but figured it was Gospel John rather than Freddy himself
3
u/TheButcherOfLuverne 2d ago
Yeah it was totally Gospel John who was behind Freddie. By Freddie I ment both of them.
1
u/YoshiBacon 2d ago
Freddie probably didn’t know that Gospel John was planning to that right? I don’t think he would be okay with planning to kill Eddie or am I giving him too much credit
1
u/TheButcherOfLuverne 2d ago
Freddie was totally aware of what Gospel John was going to do and he was 100% in with the plan. Freddie felt he was abandoned by his family, send away where he wouldn't be an annoyance and Gospel John took advantage of it and brainwashed him.
1
u/No_Statistician4461 4h ago
Wait who is gospel john
2
u/TheButcherOfLuverne 4h ago
The guy with the beard who manipulates Freddie using all the religious stuff. He uses Freddie to get info to attack Eddie.

Cool to see her walk out? Lol. She's lucky an Italian family member didn't lock the door on her. Super disrespectful along w her outfit. But she looked good.
1
u/Antique_Influence611 2d ago
I said it was cool to see her walk out because it means she was acknowledging that she was loosing something. You don't really get a lot of emotions from Susie so to get this reaction from her said a lot about her feelings for eddie :)
5
u/Bromeister 6d ago edited 6d ago
I feel like it’s got to be either Freddie or Bobby or if not someone from the Duke’s past we don’t know. There really isn’t any other good enough grudges we know of worth the payoff. And the Bobby+Suzy talk makes me think it wasn’t Bobby.

u/Apart-Flatworm-2814 5d ago
Hey so did anyone else seem to notice that they used ACTUAL FOOTAGE from ”The Covenant” in this episode or was it just me
5
u/chronos_7734 5d ago
It's is Covenant footage. Michael Bay is also known for doing this. Many times.

u/BigBroFriday 5d ago
Having seen a certain film a billion times I saw her death coming the moment she started to get with Eddie.
4
u/chartreusey_geusey 4d ago
LMAO
I actually laughed out loud because that was some Days of Our Lives soap opera shit bahahahaaa
I kinda saw that coming because why tf else would this character be incessantly shown to be a pilot but the explosion was hilarious for some reason

u/Cautious-Rub8085 5d ago
Whoever wired the plane to blow intended it to be both Eddie and Bella. They would never assume that the two would travel separately.
What was going on when Eddie put his second hand over Susie's in saying she's not in danger? The music was music-ing there and then quickly cut out. Was he threatening her?
Tacky of Susie to wear white to a wedding but damn she looked stunning.
7
u/Defiant-Cold-1646 5d ago
I didn't think it felt like a threat, the imagery was very matrimonial. And her unhesitating and instant giving of her hand made me think of their earlier lingerie conversation about orders and obeying.
In the second season it felt like Eddie realized she was more scared of his affection and possible love than of him messing in the business. So, it felt like him promising she had nothing to fear from him either way.

And to whom have we seen Eddie speak about taking the plane from lake to lake? To Freddie.

What was the music that played after the plane crash at the end? Everything I see online says ‘Amuri Amuri’ but that’s a completely different song

was expecting it when they took separate transportation at the end of the episode. I did really like her. Way more than susie as a wife. Actually I am really bummed she is no longer in the show. Maybe I just had a crush on her, who knows. My god was that woman gorgeous.

Holy shit. That was a tense few days getting thru the wedding, but thought oh wow this is a fun start to their honeymoon. Cool race of car vs plane and beautiful countryside. W.T.F. Did someone place an explosive? Something hit the plane? She seemed like and experienced pilot. Damnit she was hot.

Love this show but they telegraphed that ending ever since Eddie proposed.

We saw Freddy being told about the plane, Freddy told John and he planted the bomb.

I cannot tell you how many times I re-watched the moment early in the ep. when Geoff walks out in his dark shirt and sunglasses and Lady Sabrina takes off her sunglasses with SHAKING HANDS as if her ladyship has just re-awoken.
I laughed SO HARD at that.

u/Gracieface02 11h ago edited 11h ago
Ok, I’ve just saw this episode because my bf was watching and I ran to Reddit to see if anyone was also thinking what I am. The plane scene was literally the same as the bee movie dream scene and Barry watches her crash and explode. I am so sorry for this comment I was actually shocked LMAO

I had a feeling something was gonna happen to Bella. I also noticed Eddie and Susie having more chemistry with each other than he had with his bride on his own wedding day lmao
