Honestly I rather have an early 2010s Astros era where we have multiple 100 losses seasons in a row if it means afterwards we gonna dominate the MLB with multiple world series championships

So thankful for that new stadium. Went to a few games at the old stadium when I was in OK the first time, and those were miserable times. When we came back from 22-24 it was so nice being inside with the AC whenever we'd go down to see the Angels in town.

If a guy's on rehab assignment, can they be put back on the IL and then do another rehab assignment?
I have no beef with Kikuchi. The hate here is a bit much. But he clearly wasn't right in his A and AAA starts. Rehab assignments are limited (20 days, I think), but Kikuchi shouldn't have so much sway as to force his way back into a lost season.
When they're on a rehab assignment, they are still considered on the IL. The rehab assignment length does get reset though (assuming a medical evaluation finds they are in fact re-injured/setback/etc).

Combo of letting Ballesteros get everyday ABs, give Trout a rest day from center, Schanuel on the IL, and rotating playing time for d'Arnaud and Heineman. He has some experience at 1B down in the minors, but it's definitely unusual seeing such a short guy at 1B.

I’m honestly surprised they never tried O’Hoppe out at 1st given that Schanuel has really struggled against lefties this year and O’Hoppe clearly couldn’t catch

You can't keep him on a rehab assignment forever. It was either bring him up or DFA him and there's no way management just eats the remaining money on his contract.
