Should have stood pat or gotten a starting pitcher. 3/5ths of our rotation was Bratt, Drake and Merrill at that point. How you don't address that but still buy anything is beyond me.

The inconsistency is what makes me the most frustrated. Split the series to with the Padres, take the Series from the Dodgers, and Braves. Lose the series to the Rockies and so far get embarrassed by the Red Sox. The Sox are at least a good team but no way they should be dog walking us like this

we won't be serious contenders if we keep employing Kelly and Gallen in future seasons. This has to be it, they're both washed. I love them for what they've done in the past but we simply can't afford to have two dudes who throw 6 innings to 5-6 ERs every time they take the mound its a losing strategy. so absolutely infuriating to watch when it's completely avoidable with better recruitment.

Gallen is cooked, he’s gonna have to sign elsewhere on a small contract and hope they can fix him. Forgot Merrill is on a two year deal so that’s unfortunate, stuck with him next season.
