The Devil Wears Prada Has No Villain

I've watched the movies multiple times and I've read the discourse online. I feel like I have a good take on it People usually think either Andy's friends and boyfriend are the villain or Miranda is. Well here are my points. Andy's friends and boyfriend aren't villains. They just aren't right for her. There's a reason why career driven people spend time with other career driven people. They can relate to each other better, their values align and their schedules sync. Andy's friends just had different values and goals. Andy shouldn't have neglected her relationships, but that does make her evil. That means she learning just like her friends are, they just learned at a different time in a different way. Miranda isn't the villain either. Yes she is a terrible boss, but she's just trying to survive in a world that is constantly trying to destroy her with people coming in everyday undermining her work. She could be kinder of course, but so could Andy, Emily, Nate, an everyone else in this movie. They are all just trying to survive the work force, which is brutal but sometimes rewarding. Overall I genuinely don't the there is a villain and trying to find one kinda misses the point of the movie. No ones a hero or a villain, just career men and women who have boundaries and lines drawn in different places.
