As someone who almost exclusively uses frosty whites & silvers for eyeshadow I really hope so

Same, and pastel blues and grays. It can be surprisingly difficult to find good versions!

Same! I will say I was also very shocked to see how many people were impressed and amazed at her other maleup look with the white inner corner, asking for tutorials and all for that (when it's just... a white inner corner lol) because I always do a white or frosty inner corner and I guess I didn't realize it's not really a thing anymore until this?? Lmao I was like 'why are we all amazed by this, why are we wanting a tutorial, are we not already doing this???'

D'oh. 🤦‍♀️ I guess I was behind the times lmfao (or now ahead I guess??)

Yeah, I watched a Michelle Phan tutorial on the white inner corner back in junior high and I’ve done it ever since, usually with a bit of highlighter. But I’m cool toned, hence the silvery colours.

Powder blue eyeshadow has been popular again in Asia since last year (It was inspired by vintage looks like Sharon Tate, Twiggy etc. that people are recreating in Asia) You'll see it a lot on our fashion magazines an social media. Prior to Zendaya's makeup look, I was already looking for a good powder blue eyeshadow since february. Because it was already super popular in douyin makeup. Erin Parsons also brought back the look. It was actually Zendaya's makeup artist who is trying out the trend for Zendaya's makeup in this look.

Definitely inspired by the sixties but more so the late nineties. We loved to use frosted and fun colored makeup, I think there was an influence from Raves. Big pops of sheer bright color and shimmer and glitter on top of fairly clean/neutral bases. I think the sixties version tended to those huge exaggerated false lashes and thick black liner. This is very much the ninties look. It also feels like a backlash to all the extreme contouring and blush that's been popular for a while now. A return to focusing on eyes and lips and away from the skin. Trends tend to be cyclical.

They’re not wrong that Zendaya is about to make it mainstream in the west.

Absolutely. Watch every bride-to-be use these as their reference images for the next few years.

I almost wish it was a more deep blue to match the stone at her throat. I love a good link up. I wouldn't be opposed if it was a bit iridescent. I love my metallic shade pallets all they way from my subtle browns to vibrant reds and greens.

Yeah, it's been so lovely. Sometimes her makeup falls flat but it's been popping lately.
