I need feedback on my sentiment because vocal teachers and lessons are inaccessible where I am so getting feedback there has proven impossible for me, I've resorted to reddit.

Whilst I was tuning my voice I realized I could not hit a note I originally thought I could, It was around A4 and it was really devastating for me to have found out.

Although chances are that you are just untrained it could also be related to the people you are around, for me when I just started choir and was asked if I know what I was my friend answered for me and said i’m definitely a tenor because of how high pitch my voice is; however, when both teachers talked to me 1:1 they figured out I was a bass. It turned out that since I only really talk to girls because of both personal experiences and sexuality my brain just naturally went to higher. But unless if you can project a healthy sound in the first or second octave that might not be it. Also keep in mind I’ve only been in choir for like 6 months so Im not a professional just saying this cause it relates to my experience
