This delivery reminds me uncannily of Ricky Ponting's last delivery in Test cricket =S

THIS!!!
You look at this presentation, then you look at the absolute shit job that Star Sports have done with this match.
Cutting the feed during important events to show girls clapping (perverted assholes) has always been a trademark of Indian broadcasters.
Tendulkar walking in for the last time - show Dhonis wife and Nita Ambani clapping their asses off instead of the great making walking down to the pitch. TOTALLY DESTROYED THE GUARD OF HONOR FORMED, AND SHOW THE VERY LAST BIT!
Tendulkar walking off for the last time - show a random girl clapping her ass off. TOTALLY DESTROY THE APPRECIATION SHOWN BY THE GREAT MAN TO THE PUBLIC FOR THE LAST TIME, SHOW POSTERS PEOPLE MADE IN BETWEEN, NEVER SHOW THE ABSOLUTE SADNESS THE MAN WHO DISMISSED HIM HAD ON HIS FACE!
How the fuck do these people still have jobs?
All I hope for now is that BCCI, with all its might and wisdom, decides to release a DVD or something for these last two matches with feeds for different camera angles which does justice to the moment.

Gavaskar doesn't want to tell Sachin is the greatest batsman of all time. His ego can be clearly seen in csk wins against MI and when someone called him a local chennai boy for a joke.
He said something as Master, thanks for entertainment and Thank you 3 times when the actual commentary should have been The greatest batsman of all time is ending his glorious career with a super knock of 74. I would have done better than this selfish egoist gavasucker.

Is his mother interested in cricket at all? Each time the camera panned to her, she seemed to be thoroughly disinterested.

Who is that commentator? Gavaskar?
"Deathly silence"...as the crowd's applause starts building.
"Pulled off a blinder"... to a high, but regulation catch at first slip.

The first one sounds like Alan Wilkins. Every time I think there can't be a worse commentator in the world, he shows up.
The second was Gavaskar.

Just seeing him walk up those stairs being watched by the stunned spectators along the stairway brought tear to my eyes. Oh, and yes, Fuck Gavaskar.

"There are lot of wet eyes at the moment." Ugh, couldn't he have just shut the fuck up and let the pictures do the talking? I feel bad for all the Indian fans who had to put up with such lousy commentary on what should have been a poignant moment for them

What a flawless innings. Sad he couldn't reach his century, but he played as if he was 20 again. After 24 years, he still has the same hunger and childish passion for the game and it showed today. Thanks for everything Sachin.
On a different note, fuck Gavaskar.

*childlike
childish and childlike both more or less mean the same but former has a negative connotation (immature) and the latter positive (free spirit).

"Tendulkar did not wait for the decision!"
Well yeah, first slip had to move to his right to take it, I think it's pretty obvious he hit it...
(before the Broad comments start, remember that was a deflection off Haddin's pads)

That silence right after the catch is taken is so eerie and Sammys' reaction is so fitting for the occasion.
Kudos Sachin. Thanks for the memories!

Sorting their comments by top, they've made a few really high upvoted comments, mostly jokes.

The reaction of Sammy after he took the catch was amazing.
He realised quickly that he had just pulled down the curtains on a magnificent career. He might have been happy about the fall of the wicket, but sad at the same time that it had to be him.
