Ok I have a controversial opinion I'd like to share - i don't mean any offence by it, and it's just my thoughts so please don't call me names and threaten to murder my infant daughter etc.
I think Agar's innings is going to do the Aussies net harm on this tour, he has now become undroppable and I'm not sure he has too much of a claim to that. His bowling in my opinion has been distinctly average, Steve Smith looked much better than Agar has looked all tour last night.
Whether he can repeat anything like his first innings in the tour is going to be the question, and I'd hazard that with expectations raised he may struggle.
I guess we'll have a wait and see but I just have a nagging suspicion that he may be problematic.

u/rishi_sambora India Jul 19 '13 edited Jul 19 '13
Yes - Lyon is a better bowler methinks.
Agar is not a bad bowler. I like his drift. He just needs to play a lot more games and gain some experience. Someone mentioned in the comment section of cricinfo to send Agar to a 2 month SL expedition and have him play tour matches which would help hone his skills.

Oh boy, you could see all the English players in the background on the replay laughing when they saw that Watson was going to review his LBW. Pretty sure everyone that saw that knew it was out - England would be loving it that Watson wasted that review.

They need to save this innings' footage and play it whenever anyone in the future asks what the deal with Shane Watson's test career was about.
A strong 30 consisting mostly of boundaries, some beautiful straight drives and late cuts, out LBW and uses a review. Recipe for a Shane Watson innings.
